    My 2 little treasures, Hannah and Jessica, asked to help yesterday and spent 2 hours in pinnies and headscarves (a la Hilda Ogden!) washing skirting boards, doors and mopping floors - all of this was unprompted - they came and asked if they could help! Afterwards Hannah said'No wonder you don't like cleaning Mummy - it's really hard work!'

    I don't know what part of the country you are in but I recently got a freezer from electrical123 and they were very quick with delivery - even paid me £20 cos they missed the first date because of the snow! I think they might only do a couple of days in each area though - was very impressed and would definately use again - price was best by about £50 compared to currys and comet.

    Off to swimming lessons now but will try and have a read later.

    greenbee - my meter says cubic feet on it :o :rolleyes: so that bits sorted. Now do you know how I read my elec usage on a pre-payment meter. The display says the amount of money I have left, not a reading as such!

    Soappie - Hope your pooch is okay!

    Some stupid Barstool has lit a fire in their backgarden and its smoking like mad - I didn't notice until I could suddenly smell burning & noticed outside was rather smoky. I just ran upstairs to close all the windows. How I didn't notice it I don't know. But the house now stinks of campfire just when I had got it smelling fresh :mad::mad:

    This is what is remaining :
    Monday - Kitchen and Dining room
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Dishes - half done but the drainer is full :o[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] Clear and wipe work surfaces[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Empty and wash out bins[/STRIKE]
    Level Two

    Sweep and mop floors
    Clear and wipe table.. add a clean cloth if necessary! - I've just dumped all the hotspots onto it instead, it was clear though as DD has been using it all week for her homework :rolleyes:
    Level Three
    Clean the oven [STRIKE]and hob [/STRIKE] Oven is soaking in oven cleaner ATM ;)
    Wipe all [STRIKE]the cupboard fronts,[/STRIKE] kickboards[STRIKE] and large appliance[/STRIKE] I'll do the kickboards when I clean the floor ;)[STRIKE]
    Wipe and replace all the small appliances[/STRIKE]

    Vacuum these floors
    Wash the windows

    Empty upstairs bins

    2. Make sure all the school coats/bags etc are washed ready for school on Monday
    3. dust away all the webs upstairs!

    Vacuum/mop floors & stairs!

    Wash the windows and the front door.. inside and out!
    Vacuum under the furniture you can safely move!
    Level Three
    Wipe all the paintwork!
    Dust mantle and polish all the trinkets upon it

    Get a pile of filing done!!

    Just going to have a break then I'll go hoover & dust upstairs - won't bother cleaning the outside of the windows since that fire is going :rolleyes: Might clean the bathroom as well while I'm there...

    Well, we've had a lovely time in the garden :T I've made DS a chocolate cake to take to camp (his birthday is Sunday, so he'll be able to share it with all the Scouts :D ).

    With all this cleaning going on I am suprised the country hasn't run out of cleaning materials / liquids!!

    I have vacuumed my bedroom, landing, spare room, stairs, kitchen and hallway and also put a few bits away. Arm objecting now!!!
