Hi everyone,

I just bought Alice in Wonderland from them and after 2wks, just got here and of course it is a FAKE.
Send them 4 e mails but they keeping on telling me rubbish.
I dont know how they can get away with, everything is fake about the dvd and of course it doesnt work!!!
I will try to contact paypal and see if i can eventually get my money back, even though i am pretty sure they wont since the transaction was made outside e bay.
Let you know what is going on...:mad:0 -
I just bought a dvd quantum of solace from the site and after clicking "pay now" and using pay-pal i was sent to another screen which said "confirm your order click here". at this point i thought id just check if there were any internet voucher codes to use so i typed the name into google and came accross this forum. After reading a bit i thought better of it and closed the window hoping that the payment didnt go through as i had not clicked on "confirm your order" yet. However the payment has gone through and im fuming about it! just hope now that it turns out ok, doubt it tho0

Hi,
I agree with all of the above. Similarly bought Lost Season 4 because it was the cheapest on the web. Didn't do my research properly!!! It did arrive, from Thailand, obvious copy, flimsy cardboard box with pictures that do not resemble any of the characters in the series. But I had disc 2 of the set missing. Two copies of disc 1 instead. Lots of e-mails back and forth. They are trying to wriggle out of it saying they had posted a replacement, it must be lost by Post Office, going to send another replacement, never arrives etc etc etc!!!!! This has been ongoing since 3/3/09.
As others have said NEVER be tempted to buy from them no matter how cheap they seem.0 -
Hi everyone,
just been on that fake website and surprise surprise they dont accept paypal anymore, the website looks very different and i pretended to buy a dvd and guess what? i was redirected to Amazon uk website???
Whats going on?
To start with i thought they were selling through Amazon but then i realized that it actually said in stock and sold by Amazon??!!
I think i am going to contact Amazon and let them know what kind a website that is...
I have already contact FACT and Paypal but nothing happened...:mad:0 -
I recently bought a DVD online from Trident DVD. They came up first in a search that I put in for the film Mama Mia. The website gives the impression that it's a British company with everything in £'s. The DVD took two weeks to come and arrived with a stamp from Thailand on it. It was advertised as UK compatible but had a sticker on the box saying it may not work in a DVD recorder, computer or games console.
It doesn't work in any of the DVD players I've tried it in, it's scratched and the hole in the middle doesn't even seem to be central. Trident have answered my emails but say it's my fault and told me to stop wasting their time emailing them!
DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
I bought Grey's Anatomy series 4. The disc inlays distributed in polytheme wallets with no hard case. The box, exact size of the dvd, all broken and completely wet! The discs are clearly pirated! No SID codes, no matrix number, no copywrite details and publishing information, no list on credits, ownership licensing information or country of manufacture and incomplete packaging! All present in original dvd's. Some options, i.e. expanded features do not select at all. The email response was "if you speak to us nicely we will consider exchange" Problem is, I have no intention returning the DVD's to Thailand after waiting 17 days for it to arrive! I am keeping this as proof. I have reported this company to The Industry Trust for IP Awareness, The Federation Against Copywrite Theft, Producers Alliance for Cinema & Television & Crime Stoppers. People like this should not get away! I am also writing ABC Studios in the States that produce the series and BT Yahoo to trace the IP address from where the emails came. As said in the forum by various members and I cannot tress that more.. NEVER BE TEMPTED TO BUY FROM TRIDENTDVD.CO.UK0 -
I've contacted paypal about this company. Unfortunately I am out of the 45 day limit for disputes. I was too trusting that he would sort the problem and do what he said. He managed to keep me hanging longer than 45 days.
Anyway! had an e-mail from Paypal saying that if multiple people complained abot Trident thay would investigate any fraudulant behaviour.0 -
Interesting!
I ordered series 4 of Grey's Anatomy on 31st March - a month later it hadn't arrived. I was asked to check with my sorting office - no joy. So I emailed back to be told that the Post Office had returned the parcel because they had tried to deliver but there was no-one to sign for it. (Strange - there was no card left by postman. . .)
Today I have been told it will be "resent" when new stock is received.
I have asked twice whether the DVDs will play on a UK machine and the question has not been answered. After reading this page, I emailed straight back demanding a full refund or I would inform Paypal. Should I contact Paypal anyway? I read in another message that there is a 45 day limit?0 -
Read my earlier post. Same story. I was asked to go to the sorting office. I knew there had been no attempt to deliver as there was no card left. The sorting office keep a record anyway and informed me no attempt had been made to deliver. I would certainly inform paypal. It is the only way you have any chance of recouping your money. Go on their website and you will find info regarding lodging a dispute.0

I have contacted Paypal - no way was I going to let Mr Byard fob me off until the 45 day limit had passed. I emailed him first demanding a full refund and, unsurprisingly, he hasn't bothered to email back!
I have now escalated my claim - don't see the point in waiting any longer - there is no chance of me receiving genuine goods. I hope Paypal do something to stop this guy ripping people off.0
