I know compared to some on this forum i have an easy life ...................but this week has been rubbish!

is half term so off work(good)
Spent most of it so far waiting around for gas men and clearing up leaking water! Including all day Tuesday when 3 calls confirmed he was coming until 4pm when it transpired he had just booked an hours time to sit and try to source the parts and was not intending to visit at all!
Had to change hair appointment to today (been saving to get highlights done a toni and guy - costs an arm and a leg) and there starts the next bit -- got there for 9am appointment to be told that as it is a few months since I had colour done and so need 48hour skin test GRRRRRR. So no colour-asked if could just do the cut but stylist not in until later and no one free!
So I went to Boots ( see it is on topic!)....................no clearance and not giving out no 7 vouchers! Spent a couple of wrinklies on some olay wash for DD but really lost interest after that......................no P & P voucher for me either! And they still have a 'guard'on the skincare aisle where the Olay GWP are .Why I dont know -they are the worst GWP ever -not worth trying to sneak past the SS till guards!
All in all a rubbish trip.
Need to move to a better Bootsing area!

hi everyone, hope your all ok:)

I haven't really had much to report lately, what with the clearance stand being removed from one of my boots stores:rolleyes:
Any hoo, i am paying a visit tomorrow to get something to tone down the redness on my cheeks.
I was wondering if anyone had tried the no7 skin calming cream?
    Does it do the trick?
    tia

    Hi charleypink,
I tried this and reacted to it badly...mass of spots!. Decided i would give it another try when spots had faded ( just to make sure this was the cause). Sure enough, spots again. Shame aswel, because it did calm the redness.

    Boo!

Went to Boots for lunch today to try and get a perkie. Got given another wrinklie, so I asked about the No7 vouchers, and the SA told me that they didn't have any. However, I was in yesterday and saw them being given out! I mentioned that they had them yesterday and the SA said that they weren't valid yet!

Is it worth taking my receipt to another store? Or phoning CS? I really want a perkie before my ACM P&P voucher runs out, but can't afford to keep going to Boots for lunch on the off-chance.

Following on from my Bootsing yesterday I have noticed on my receipt that I didn't get the points I was expecting!

Basically my first transaction I wanted to use the No7 250 points (from GWP) & also 200 points ACM on £25 spend so I deliberately spent over the £25 - BEFORE using wrinklies/hairies & No7 etc. so then I should have received 450 points right? well on my receipt it only shows the No7 250 points & my total points on the receipt are 290 points. She did take the 200 ACM voucher though!!

Have phoned CS & they say that I need to go back into the store to query it. Not sure I can face it to be honest but its bugging me simply because I wanted the points & had I known it wasn't going to go through I would have split my spend into separate transactions to get more of the perkies!! Anyway has this happened to anyone else & what did you do? Obviously I have no proof that I handed over the 200 ACM voucher & my receipt shows that my actual spend was £13.90.

Hi Popkins, this happened to me and Sally06, see here So it looks as though we can no longer combine the Total Spend vouchers with the offer vouchers. Whats the point in issuing them then:confused::confused:

The total spend vouchers are way too high anyway. This time last year I could get total spend vouchers for £10 to £15. Now they are for £35.

So I dont get to use them often at all. If they won't work with other offer pts, I just wont bother with them.

Sorry Mr Boots you can't have it all ways. If you want us to increase our shopping spend you are going the wrong way about it.

Whats the point in us spending £35 to get 350pts, when we can't use any bonus pts with them. Also we would also sacrafice the promotional voucher issued for every £5 spent on the smaller transactions.

Employ one of us to work out the best bargains. Don't bite the hand that feeds you (Not too much anyway, as we are worthy opponents):naughty:

Don't forget its Boots that issue the promotional pts vouchers with its No7 items.

There are pts vouchers with so many things instore, yet saying one can't be used with another just wastes, time, energy and human resources, trying to sort it out. And that means money

Who is gonna buy all your reduced stuff if you alienate us? It will take forever to shift without MSE.

There are so many T&C's on the vouchers now, that the staff dont know if they are coming or going. ;)

I keep expecting to see one that says 'Polly can't use this voucher if she is wearing black today!! Well I wear black 24/7 so thats me !!!!ed.

You get my drift though?? Don't keep taking away, or we may just stay away.

  • Frustrating Boots day just got better.

Was going to buy 342 sanctuary to get a perkie, but was disappointed with quality of what was going to buy so thought better of it.

Then bought with wrinklies/hairies - 3 x JF spray and 3 x olay face wash so £1.30 to pay x 3. SS till nearly sent me demented with vouchers getting stuck in slot.

    Then bought P&P day cream £19.50 +GWP
    Used:
500 points (mailing) - thanks BF (her voucher)
250 points off skincare (prev GWP)
Then £5 off P+P (thanks Jennied)

So was £14.50 - 750 points so £7 in Boots logic. But then I realised didn't have perkie. Bought anyway but felt cheesed off with myself, then realised that machine hadn't given me perkie or wrinklie with this purchase. Went to counter (Meadowhall) and they said hadn't got yet in their store.

Couldn't be bothered to try S&G coupons as long queue & bored 6 year old ds.

Anyway got home and thought I'd try CS and they've put me 500 points on my card.:D Yippee.:j

No great clearance bargains like I see on the site. Anyone found any putting sets or mens anti-fatigues in Sheffield?

  • Thought I would let you know that the P&P body serum, whilst scanning at full price, is still labelled at £12.25 in quite a few stores.
I picked up 2 and used the £5 off P&P from the ACM, the new £5 off No7 voucher and gave in 1 x 250 extra points wyb skincare, then 1 x 100 points wyb No7 bathing, from the ACM. So paid £2.25p....but gained 350 points ( I was not able to add the gwp.).

Items that you can by with ACM vouchers, that give you almost the same money back in points are:
150 points ACM wyb any TS...can be used on the minis which are £1.56.
150 points wyb any UG...can be used on the minis which start from £1.56.
150 points wyb any gillette series...can be used on the shaving foams which are £1.44.
100 points wyb any Natural collection..can be use on the many clearance items that are about for under £1.
When I want a phone top up, I usually, pick up some of these, in order to build up points and pay for the top up with those.
I also get which ever money off voucher boots are handing out at the time.
Yesterday, in the store I visited, they were handing out the old wrinklies and the new No7 voucher, with each transaction.
    ...how very kind. :)

In which case... if I bought, say, a handcream, and used the £5 P&P ACM voucher, could I pay the rest in points?

    Apologies for newbie-ish question!
