geordie_lass wrote: »Hey Mr B
What is the point of putting vouchers in the ACM for Advantage Card holders then saying we can't use them in conjunction with any other offer?
Surely the whole point of the Advantage Card scheme is to put cardholders at an advantage over non-cardholders. If we want to buy P&P then we are only getting the same deal as non-cardholding customers if the SA's stick rigidly to the T's & C's of only one voucher/offer per purchase.
Maybe I'm just missing something
Very good point - how right you are!!!! Come on Mr B - get with the programme!! LOL0 -

Had a great shop today. Got the p&p body serum, came up at full price so sa got someone to override it. Don't now why but she put it through the till at £7.50, used the two £5 off vouchers, then it took the extra £2.50 off the rest of my shopping !! I had a meal deal, frizz ease hairspray and olay facewash, which i used the £5 and £2 vouchers on.
Haven't a clue why she did that but i wasn't complaining. Also got the gwp, haircare/skincare voucher and a new no7 one back. I only ended up paying £2.29 for all that !!Great shop:D , I went out again this afternoon again ( different store) P&P serum was advertised at 1/2 price SA agreed to honour it but would not allow a GWP (whole purpose of me getting it!) nor use any vouchers so left it.
Got some reduced botanics sponges on buy one get one half price so about £2.xx for 4 packets.
Also have seen come sanctuary sento mini body wash for 55p on 342
Also sento giftset at £4.8x and on 342
Thanks to whoever it was that gave the heads up on the reduced toothpastes etc, normally get mine in HB but got some 1/2 price on 342 so quite a bargain x
Also got a lonely HE shampoo for 37p with 100 points back xThis is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M. Hutchins0 -
I went to the Chequers Centre, Maidstone branch this afternoon. Got myself a brag book at last
- they had the mini brag books in blue, pink and lilac. For some reason the pink is £2.99, and the others are £2.93
Thank you to whoever it was for the heads up about the JF hairspray - I got one of those with my £2 wrinklie, so it only cost me 44p. I have a few left, so will be going back for more. I also got an Olay Regenerist cleanser, which was £6.99, and used a £5 wrinklie against that. I got my daughter, who was with me, a 125g bar of dark Galaxy (don't fancy dark chocolate myself, but she wanted it) marked down to 63p, and they had quite a lot of them there, on the other side of the display unit which is opposite the sandwiches.
I asked a wandering SA if they had the new S&G range, and she went to check for me. She came back, saying the branch was not going to be stocking them, but they did have one thing out the back - can't remember what she said it was called, but it had Wizard in the name. She said if I wanted any of that range I could order them instore, but I pointed out the £40 minimum spend to avoid the £2.89 P&P charge. She told me it had now been reduced to £25, but I've just checked on dot com and it still says £40. Does anyone else know what the sitution is? It seems rather unfair to me that customers either have to pay a delivery charge or have a minimum spend, just to get something delivered to the branch that their particular branch doesn't stock. Why should we be penalised for it?
The SA said she often gets asked for Benefit or Urban Decay, so can't understand why the branch doesn't stock those either.
Anyway, I got some other S&G I wanted, which was on 342, and thought I'd try my luck with the £2 voucher which was emailed to me by S&G. I even had the email to hand to show in case it was queried. Till said no - I hadn't met the required conditions
It really bugs me when I get vouchers that I can't use just because my local branches don't stock the items. The Chequers Centre branch isn't a small one, either!0 -
Bellydancer, in my Boots email today it says it is now only £25.
Oh and about Benefit and Urban Decay, it's not about 'stocking' them as such, they're companies who hire space in stores. So it's really up to the companies whether they think it's worth selling from that boots or not.

Just thought i'd let everybody know that meadowhall are accepting multiple s&g vouchers.
It's a miracle!!!:D0 -
Bootsing trip today,
Went looking for the loreal anti fatigue sets but couldnt see any
No rimmel pallettes
No soap and glory hand wash or bags (but thanks to Jules for the PM)
Did intend on spending my wrinklies, so bought a olay cream wash and a GWP, never noticed these before today, funny how when you know what to look for you see it.
Bought 2 x starbursts and 1 Mars(45p each) on offer at 3 for £1. but turned out the mars was mars skittles not mars as in bar, bizarre to put the offer underneath the mars bars and nowhere near the skittles!
Went to Self Service tills, not busy, so 1 SA in charge of area so she kindly offered to help me out as am sure it was obvious i had never used SS before.
I scanned the olay wash, it reads out loud the price (5.86)
scanned the GWP (reads 1 Free)
scanned the skincare wrinkly (reads 1 Free)
scanned the sweets (then they didnt go thro on 3 for £1 so she double checked and said the mars was mars skittles so she voided it and i swapped it for another starburst (yum)
The only thing is once you have scanned an item you have to put it in the baggage area, so i had to do that with the voucher SA said and then once the transaction was complete i paid total of 1.86 and she gave me back my skincare voucher.
I went back feeling a bit more confident with the SS machine and got another olay face wash and GWP, total 86p. Bargain.
I think i am going to love these new tills :j0 -
