Interesting couple of days

Yesterday I headed for the Bathgate store. It's quite a small store but was worth a visit. Unfortunately the ACM wasn't working, so no chance to see if a different store would give different vouchers.

They had different clearance items. Beside the pharmacy they had a whole stand of clearance pharmacy products. Nothing to interest me though.

I had a good look round the store to see if I could find anything I hadn't seen elsewhere. There were quite a few different items. but again nothing to take my fancy. So I decided instead of coming straight home I'd visit the Almondvale store again.

I looked at the P+P Body Serum but decided to leave it till another day. I wanted to spend some of my vouchers so landed up buying my son some Dr Nick's spot gel, with £5 wrinklie - £3.**

Time Delay eye serum (they seem to have 3 different kinds so bought the cheapest) with £5 wrinklie - £1.**

L'Oreal Revitalift 4 cloth face masks. No way would I have paid £13.** for them but with £5 wrinklie I thought I'd try them. As this sale was over £5 I got yet another wrinklie/hairy. I'm trying to get rid of them not aquire more
I tried the cloth mask last night. It's really nice. There are 4 sachets in the box so I have another 3 weeks' worth. I definitely think I'll have another box whilst I have £5 wrinklies.

After reading this thread last night I decided I'd go for another Body Serum today if I could get it for £2.25. So when I read the thread before leaving work I was a bit disappointed. But I decided to go and have a look anyway. Maybe they'd still have the 1/2 price signs up and I'd try to get it for £12.25. When I got there I'd to think again. All signs were down.

I tried the ACM, but there weren't any new offers. But I printed a 100 points off hosiery one and was pleased to see that it is now valid until 10th March. I looked round the various clearance shelves and found a Natural Collection large paddle brush for £3. I could do with a new brush so decided to have this. I then headed to hair care and chose T+G shampoo which I could use £2 hairy and 150 pts. The 150 pts voucher wouldn't scan properly so SA had to call for supervisor. She added the points manually after I had completed the purchase. This took me to over £5 so I was able to buy them and get the new £5 No7 voucher.

I now knew what I was going to buy next. I headed over to No7 area. This purchase was going to be very quick. I picked up a GWP (039 with Plumb Beautiful lipstick and 250 pts voucher) and went round the counter to collect a bottle of Beauty Serum. The supervisor was now over at the No7 counter and asked if I was adding to my purchases. I checked with her that it was a bottle not tube of Beauty Serum in the box and turned to the till. I had £5 P+P, £5 new no7 voucher and 250 pts from last GWP.

I'm delighted with my purchases.

When supervisor was adding pts on my 1st purchase I noticed the SA scan 2 cards for my vouchers. The one for the wrinklie says finishing date is 24 Feb 09. The new No7 one says 18 Feb to 10 March 09. Voucher is valid until Sunday 29 March.

I've still got several vouchers left - particularly £5 P+P so I'm going to have free hand cream, Lipcare with £5 off and at least 1 more box of the cloth facemasks. In fact if I work it right I can get more than 1 free hand cream.

I knew I would enjoy this bootsing game

Had quite a successful shop in Eastgate, Bristol today. I bought
3 x Boots lrg handwashes reduced to 35p each
2 shower gels for 35p each
2 x KOS Shave Oil on clearance 98p each so free with the £1 vouchers
some other bits to make it up to £5 to get the voucher.

I then used the £5 No7 voucher and the £5 off P & P and got a P & P Body Serum Priced at £12.25, the SA refused me the GWP but scanned a 100 bonus points voucher so I got it for £1.25 if you count the points as money!!!! It came up on the till full price but the Sa over rode the price.

On my way out I saw an S & G Mobile Foam pink bag containing a 500ml Clean on Me Shower Gel, 200 ml Scrub of your life and a Soap-er star bubble bath bar on clearance for £4.50 - got it and paid with points!!!! It is showing as £14.68 on .com!!!!

the SA got it a bit confused to start with - I gave her the points vouchers first & then the wrinklies but for some reason she didn't put them thru 1st so then she said I didn't qualify for the over £25 spend! I was a bit cheeky & just said normally it goes thru on the total spend not the spend after vouchers deducted & she was lovely & said oh right let me do it again doing the points ones 1st - & that worked!!
So total spent - £13.90 total saved - £12.00 & 290 points awarded
Got £5 wrinklie/£2 hairy & £5 plinky-purply
then handed back £2 hairy just got with Frizz-ease hairspray - 44p to pay!!

So headed to Photo desk at back of store to collect (loving the Lee Stafford box of tricks!! & asked if I could actually return a couple of the items!! One being the ROC wipes - SA said no problem so returned those & swapped for S&G Supereyes with £2 voucher - so nothing to pay today and actual cost of Supereyes was £5.82 instead of £7.82 - got wrinklie/hairy/plinky-purply

All in all a good day & I'm thrilled I got the 'free' P&P handcream to go with the P&P face serum for my mum's mothers day gift. Just need to find me some of that half price body serum and I'll bee well and truly thrilled! Might have to take myself off to Kingston tomorrow!!

Just to say that Redhill Branch had quite a few of the brag books in pink blue or yellow but at full price of £2.93 - happy to get if anyone wants one & post on? just pm me if you do although please see my post earlier of 'cheaper' option.

Now sitting here looking at my 2 lovely plinky-purplys - love them!! LOL!!

I have currently got 5 of the £5 skincare wrinklies if anyone would like to swap for £5 P&P ACM vouchers please pm me as there is no way I can use all these and wouldn't like them to go to waste!

Hey Mr B

What is the point of putting vouchers in the ACM for Advantage Card holders then saying we can't use them in conjunction with any other offer?
Surely the whole point of the Advantage Card scheme is to put cardholders at an advantage over non-cardholders. If we want to buy P&P then we are only getting the same deal as non-cardholding customers if the SA's stick rigidly to the T's & C's of only one voucher/offer per purchase.

Maybe I'm just missing something

Had a great shop today. Got the p&p body serum, came up at full price so sa got someone to override it. Don't now why but she put it through the till at £7.50, used the two £5 off vouchers, then it took the extra £2.50 off the rest of my shopping !! I had a meal deal, frizz ease hairspray and olay facewash, which i used the £5 and £2 vouchers on.
Haven't a clue why she did that but i wasn't complaining. Also got the gwp, haircare/skincare voucher and a new no7 one back. I only ended up paying £2.29 for all that !!
