I have had a few posts reported in the last thread so just a gentle reminder to ask people to use the Boots Refugees thread(link on first post) for general chat and personal issues with each other just to stop any threat of this thread being closed.

I really appreciate all your hard work on this thread CPG. :j :j :j

I would however like to make a suggestion / comment on the above quote.

I love reading all the posts on here, and have been guilty as charged for chatting on the odd occasion. However, I am reluctant to go over to Refugees for a chat, mostly due to comments like this:

this is the chat half of the boots grabbit (prepares to be shouted at for swearing)

were much nicer over here, chat about anything you like we dnt care
lots of nice friendly people on here and no arguments
which was posted on Refugees yesterday.

I have read the Refugees thread - and it seems that all the posters get along together on there extremely well - which is lovely, but most of the chat is not Boots related.

Can I make a suggestion that you could set up a new thread called "Boots Chat Only" and we could all have a chat about Boots related stories / successes / pictures of our stashes etc!!!

This thread is my favourite thread - and has been for a few years. I am extremely grateful for the glitches, and have made some very good mates on here.

I know this has been suggested before - I am prepared for the "we've tried it before and it didn't work" replies. A chat thread for Boots was set up ages ago - but was closed for going off topic - but the refugees thread is going strong. So it seems to me this would be the best way to keep everyone happy?

Boots Grabbit ....... for all your info / finds / glitches etc
Boots chat.........for all your stories / pics etc
Boots refugees........for chat about anything under the sun with your Bootsing buddies

PS I like the P&P glitch so much - I may even actually use some instead of looking at it with the rest of my stash!!!:o

I don't have SS tills but I think others have managed to do this.;)
Beware as in some stores the Olay rep may pounce on you. Broclo had some good advice, take the qualifying product then lose it along the way to the till!;) The GWP I have found on a separate stand near the Olay stuff.

    Hi
I called in Boots today to pick up p&p body serum and was advised by sa to wait for the new voucher due out tomorrow....£5 off no7. She told me to use £5 from acm and £5 new no7 voucher.
  • Have just read through about a dozen pages, and have gone weak at the knees at the thought of the Pinkie returning on a Comeback Tour!

I have just thought of the following, as I am going to Bluewater tomorrow, where they have the £5 off over £25 spend coupons! :j :j :j

    P & P Serum £11.02
    GWP free
    Time delay Doodah £5.27
    JF Serum £1.95
    Gillette Series Shaving gel £2.63
    3 for 2 McCleans t/paste £5.46
Bar of chocolate or anything at all for 62p

Total = £26.95 (amounts are for the over 60s)

Hand over 250 points from previous GWP
Hand over 100 points from Body Beautiful (found they do go through)
Hand over 150 points Gillette from ACM

    Less £5 (over £25 spend)
    Less £5 (P & P Serum)
    Less £5 (Pinkie  !)
    Less £5 (Wrinklie)
    Less £1.95 (Hairy)

    Total to Pay = £5

    Points Gained 500!!!

and ................ get a lovely gorgeous Pinkie!!!
Result? Sheer and Perfect Happiness! :j :j :j

Took an assortment of 5 DGC and other young rellies to Lakeside and heard them saying on the bus "I bet Grandma goes to Boots"!!!! How well they know me!

Bought everyone lunch in Boots, they could choose whatever they wanted, but had to carry it themselves! Got my lunch free, on the buy 5, get the 6th free basis.

They all had spending money so I stood like a lemon for hours in The Entertainer, The Disney Shop, The Bear Factory etc, whilst they all made their choices, then went into Pret a Manger, found a table, got myself a caffeine fix for 99p, and said they could eat their lunch but don't make a thing about it, as we hadn't bought it there.

Of course, no sooner had I sat down than I got the third degree from them, in shrill loud voices, as to what I meant about "making a thing" and would we get arrested, and would I go to prison cos they were too young!!!!!

We then went into Claire's Accessories for ages where I spotted several other Grandmas with offspring, all with non existent eyebrows, and Sensible Shoes, and all of us with smiles nailed to our faces in a rictus grin, then eventually we arrived at The Temple (aka Boots!), and I checked all the ACMs.

Then we went to all the different Clearance shelves, then we consulted Grandpa's requirements list, and finally I did my shop as follows:-

    Time Delay thing = £5.27
    JF Serum = £1.95
    Gillette Shaving Gel = £2.63
S & G Wash Almighty Detox Spa = £2.30 (the cap and nozzle were missing)
    Gillette 75 ml shaving things @ 39p x 2 = 78p
    L'Oreal GWP free

    Total cost £12.93

    Less Wrinklie £5
    Hairy £1.95
    S & G £2

    Total to pay £3.88

    Gave 150 points Gillette

Received Wrinklie, though I don't know why! Yes, OP, my adding up was wrong, but if you're brave enough, apparently (so OP posted), and have a willing SA (never tried it myself) the till won't bleep until 3 x GWPs have gone though. HTH

I shall not sleep tonight hoping that the Pinkie re-appears tomorrow!!! :T :T :T

By the way, Mrs Teacher who had the incident with the boys - I would have done exactly the same thing, and have, many times before.

It's all very well wanting to be upstanding citizens and do the right thing, but how many people are left widowed because their OH told kids off, and got their head stamped on/stabbed/robbed/killed because of it.

If I see trouble, stealing, hear swearing etc I move back as far as possible. I'd rather be a coward than a dead hero.

Mrs Happy Jaw, I'm so glad the money arrived safely - the postage for the Pantene thingies would have been nearly as much, and I figured you could use the cash as you thought fit, perhaps for your baskets and cellophane.

    xx

Thank you again, every one of the 110 peeps who thanked me for my "I'm Back" poem! And all the lovely PMs that I've received since. Thank you so much (sounding like Kate Winslett now!), xx

IMHO worth the 1hr and 30mins bus journey there, and the very numb backside i now have!

Edit: They had one tiny clearance shelf. nothing good on it, and most of it i have seen cheaper in the city center. Plenty of putting sets though!
Hardly and reduced SEL, saw a couple of things, though they did have loads of No7 and 17 things i have never seen before, brushes, sponges etc.

SA told me the No7 vouchers will be back at the end of March!

    Sorry snipped...littleps44

Could you tell me what these are and where is the clearance?
I can never find anything in the Fort... thanks

    Good shop
    Well done

    Hi
What kind of things were you buying + did you have any of the same identical vouchers or were all different.

    just curious x
    TIA

    On the ss tills I used 1 x £5 off p&p, 2 x 250pts on no7 (diff barcodes so both scanned), 1 x £2 haircare, 1 x £5 wrinklie, 1 x s&g £2 off and 1 x £5 off £25 spend. I didnt end up getting the £5 off a £25 spend to work because I was hoping it would go off the original price and it didnt.

Worked it out now though and tonight I got,
    1 x p&p serum £7.25 and 600pts back (4 vouchers)
    1 x gwp foc
    4 x mitchum £3 after mocs (4 vouchers)
    1 x Girard NYN £8.56 and 500 points back (1 voucher)
    1 x Olay f/wash £1.99 after wrinklie (1 voucher)
    1 x HE £1.95 and 100 points back

Also £5 off £25 so 11 vouchers in total and paid £17.** and got 1228 points :j
    Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j
