If it were me i would not have confronted them and for the one simple reason that too many young people are carrying knifes and even guns these days. Your priority was to protect yourself and your LO and that is exactly what you did.
In my day (I'm 27) the thought of carrying anything like this was never even though about round my area.
Yeah - what she said! Don't give yourself a hard time over this. I think most of us would have done the same.
Any decent clearance anywhere in the West Brom, Walsall. Wolves, Birmingham areas ?(to keep OT)

Does anyone know if Lincoln High St Boots has any clearance sections and if so where are they located?
ETA: Also when does the HE offer run out? Is it tomorrow?

Well ive been away and my lovely dh didn't moan once when i found several boots to explore, oh he did say he wished boots had chairs in or a hubby zone so he didn't have to follow me going round and round in circles.
Not much to report got a some HE for 20p and 100pt and 1 s&g mini flake away. I tried to use it locally and they have refused it and won't overide it at all. The chaos it caused doing it once as put me off i had 3 SA's all reading the voucher and trying and concluded that skincare is only on the face so they wouldn't let me have it so i will have to be happy with managing to get just the one.
I got soooo excited as i found that boots in the bag for yummy mummy's changing bag in 2 different boots while i was away but both scanned at £25 so didn't bother:rolleyes:
No gwp putting set etc or brag books reduced.
ment to say jediteacher you did the right thing hun i have learnt not to get involved it's sad but true. I once told staff about someone stealing and this person was so good they were working as a team and passing things on to others by the time the staff confronted the person they had nothing on them personally and i got an ear full from the staff member as i was still at the till making my purchase. Just yesterday while i was away a lad was stealing bottles and bottles of wine stuffing them down his jeans. I turned the corner at the wrong time and caught him doing it so braisen, he stared at me as if to warn me then gave me a wink. He didn't care at all as he knew he would get away with it this made me mad but i said to myself it's not my problem and you don't get thanked any way as he walked out of the store he went clinck clinck clink with every step. The alarm went off and no one batted an eye lid so what are they there for? if the staff aren't even bothered it's not worth me wasting my breath and poss causing my trouble for myself.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -
Hello expert Bootsers,
I think I may have asked this before but I didn't get a response. Need to buy a brush and was wondering whether the 'hairy' voucher would work on hair brushes.T&C says not valid on accessories but I would have thought this meant hair clips and scrunchies, as I am not planning on wearing the brush as an accessory. Any thoughts oh wise ones??

What's the Olay and something other GWP people are getting, and how much do you have to spend to get it? I haven't seen any on my travels.
Also, if you are looking for cheap items to get with the haircare vouchers, have a look in the clearance section or better still ask an SA where it is if you cannot find it. Some of the old boxed Charles Worthington stuff can normally be found in this section and it's normally about £1.50 to £2.20ish, so cheapish with a voucher. Hth.
Hi Mimi,
The Olay GWP is in the purple hexagonal box and contains some 5 eye make up brushes and eye lash curlers, Olay Definity anti-ageing cream, MF eyeliner pencil, tweezers and a £5 off voucher for a very expensive cream. Will go through with no minimum spend but most peeps buying Olay cream wash to disguise and using wrinklie so 86p to pay! There was a picture posted here previously but can't find it this minute. Maybe someone a bit more savvy can do a linky for you!0 -

talking to a SA today who said the No.7 pinkies were coming back on wednesday and both wrinklies & pinkies were going to run at the same time.
thats the rumour anyway ..... lets hope she is right. :T...snipped....Not entirely sure, but I think the new vouchers are coming out tomorrow. She said they might be No7. Don't quote me on this as it does sound a bit daft that they have them coming out tomorrow. Personally I think she may be right.
ohhh looks like it might be on the cards then :T :T :T0
