I can't complain really lol, (but I will in a sec ;)) But it's a rare day when we see anything like £5 of £25 etc. I can't say I've even seen a picture of one posted either

I am obsessed with the brag books being reduced now. I have to walk past them daily now to check if they are still full price!!!!

No £5 off £25 in the store I bought my No7 mineral foundation in either and the one where they did have the voucher too far to trek to this week!! Never mind!!!!

Clearance in Bristol was so good about a month back, then they started doing store renovations and only a small shelf with overpriced rubbish now!!!

OFF TOPIC: Just back from a mystery shop in Harlow and had a real nightmare time. In a cheap clothing store four lads burst in a right by where I was standing they started taking things off the hangers and stuffing them in their jumpers. They were really brazen and didn't care who saw them. I had my 2 year old with me who was shouting very loudly 'naughty boys' as they were dropping stuff on the floor. I didn't want to confront them as I had my little one with me and now I feel really bad that I didn't. I did go to the desk ad report it and told them that it would all be captured on their CCTV cameras but still feel I should have said something to the boys. If people stood up to this behaviour then maybe it would make this world a better place. I also feel bad as I'm a teacher and although I teach younger children then these I'm known for not taking any nonsense and yet I stood by and did nothing.

ON TOPIC: The Boots in Harlow does have the Gerrard sets but they've been reduced to £17.98 and £12.98! Cannot believe the difference. I left them and could not find the clearance section at all.

Don't feel bad for not saying anything to the lads. If it were me i would not have confronted them and for the one simple reason that too many young people are carrying knifes and even guns these days. Your priority was to protect yourself and your LO and that is exactly what you did.

In my day (I'm 27) the thought of carrying anything like this was never even though about round my area.

This was exactly what I was thinking. It really isn't worth risking possibly your life for a shop.I think you definately did the right thing Jediteacher.

Thanks for that. :A I know it's silly as they weren't harming me or anyone in the literal sense but it's just morally I feel I should have done something. You're right about the amount of young people who carry weapons these days.

I did try not to laugh when my little one was shouting 'naughty boys' as she was quite right!

Ashford Sevington has lots of the Loreal Anti Fatigue in the storeroom, as i asked if they had more, nice lady told me there were lots, and was going to get some herself too

Canterbury Wincheap, had a not so nice experience on sat'day.
Bumped into a friend in there, who knew i was into vouchers, she had already got some bits in her hand, and just wanted me to check she was using the right/maximum vouchers. she had some toni & guy shampoo ( £2 haircare + 150 points) also had a P&P Face serum,as a gift for a friend(£5 off P&P ACM voucher) i didnt notice, but she had picked it up thinking it was the body one. I suggested getting 1 more item, to get the GWP, which she did. On the approach to the till, i said there is a voucher in the GWP, take it out and use it, due to her own personal circumstances, she cannot use certain skincare atm, so wouldnt have used the voucher anyway.
We were just in front of the till, when the No7 'lady' ( a lady doesnt launch personal attacks on customers!!) quite aggressively in her stance and manner, started saying we couldnt use the voucher out of the GWP until it had gone through the till,it had to be used after, i explained i was trying to make buying in boots as much fun as possible for my friend, but she then accused me of buying goods and returning them incomplete at Christmas, and using too many vouchers
I stood my ground, as i certainly have not, she went off, and the lovley young girl at the till, put through my friends items, and the voucher! At this point she realsied she had the face one, not the body, and the No7 lady had already seen her with her goods, and she was kicking off about 250points voucher, for potentailly over £100 spend!( but swapped for body before leaving store!!)My friend was quite upset by the whole thing, but we went our se[parate ways. But what the no7 lady had said was bothering me, so several hours later, i went back, and confronted her. The manager joined us, and she kept on about the voucher from the GWP, and once she had had her say, i explained it wasnt the voucher incident that was troubling me, butt he accusation, which she then changed, to at xmas sale,i had asked for money off an already reduced item, as it was incomplete, ( i had actually asked for money off an unopened item, as the outer packaging was damaged.) she claims that the the item when she checked had a voucher muissing, and that i put oo many vouchers through. The managed then seemed to side with her, saying to put iot down in writing to head office, making sure i included my advantage card no, ( as i think they were sure they were going to catch me out for something i hadnt done!!) I then got escorted from the store!!!!!!!!!!!

when i got home, i called customer services, who were very helpful, and a manager ended up dealing with it, through the post this morning, i got a £15 voucher, and an apology. Whilst i appreciate the gesture, having been kicked out of the store, i feel as theough i have been treated unfairly, and as they have obviously had my account scrutinised, and no problem found, im not sure whether i am still welcome in the store, for something for which i was not guilty of!

That's just awful and I hope it hasn't put you off Bootsing. I think at some point almost all of us will be contronted by a extra vigilant SA  and personally I think the best way to handle it is to smile, nod, be polite and just try a different SA on a different day.

Ever so slightly in your SA's defence - I suppose that strictly speaking we shouldn't use the vouchers from the GWPs until after we've bought them but there was absolutely NO need for her to have spoken to you in the way she did. A simple and polite "I'm ever so sorry but you're not allowed to use the voucher until after you've made your purchase" would have been much nicer and I don't understand why she couldn't have said it like that - there was no need for her to be so agressive
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that :p
