Hmmm...is wierd, ds1 can only use huggies pure on a good day or boots sensitive on a bad. When he was awful I had to wash huggies pure in a lingere bag in the machine then make up camomile tea to resoak them in as it cleans and is healing.
Just thought i'd try a pampers sensitive on my face-ouch! Feel like they are stripping my epidermis! Nasty stuff...ah well will keep for random cleaning jobs like the bin lid lolsorry i'm yabbering
I'm just about to yabber too
I think pampers sensitive are awful, last used long ago on DD but then DH bought some accidently and I tried them on DS and suddenly for the first time at 11 months of age he had nappy rash  I try to stick to nature babycare or earth friendly baby, although I find Huggies pure and botanics ok too.
As for washing I've found the Boots sensitive stuff to be very good, manages to get those stains out at 30 no probs (although I usually use Ecover or Tesco Naturally Active).
Bit of a Boots dunce's moment for me today, I was going to another shop today (I know! Other than Boots lol) and thought I would pop to see Mr B at the same time (especially as he had some No7 Autumn Pallettes on clearance for £5.38) and then realised I had left my Perkies at home :rotfl:

To keep it on topic: has anyone actually used the £1.95 JF serum that you can get free with the hairy? Is it any good? My hair can be a bit frizz-prone, but other serums I've used in the past have just made it look greasy. If the serum's no good, I'd rather spend the 44p to get the hairspray as at least I'll use that!
TIA
I use this every time i wash my hair now just before drying it and it makes my hair really glossy but i only use a pea sized amount and i have quite long hait. HTHMake £2012 in 2012 member #88

I've been using the Hydro Quench Overnight Cream Sorbet, and it feels really light on my skin, and very moisturising. A couple of nights ago I tried out, for the first time, the No7 Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion Exfoliator that I think came with the large set with the No7 Ultimate Skincare Collection which I got when it was OOTW before Christmas. It felt really nice to use. I followed that with the aforementioned overnight sorbet, and my skin has never felt so smooth - even all day yesterday.
However, last night I tried just the Essential Moisture Night Cream that came with that set, and even now my face feels like it has a coating on it. It seems much too thick, even when I tried to spread it as thinly as possible - I'm not impressed.
I'm hoping to use a couple of perkies and get a full size version of that exfoliator and some more Hydro Quench Sorbet.0 -
I try to stick to nature babycare

My boots stopped these  although they still do the nappy bags made from cornstarch so they are biodegradable :T
Is that the powder?
I've found liquid is great on 30 for colours/delicates, powder needs 40 and a bit of prewash for whites that children 'mess up' etc!
Find ecover itchy since they changed it, but love surecare.
Better not discontinue their rubber gloves or washing up liquid...only ones I can use!0 -

I think I have succeeded in getting rid of ALL my wrinklies, hairies and perkies, but it wasn't easy, I can tell you.
Yesterday, met Fadedpages at the Gyle and headed for Boots - where else would we go?
Had a good look round but didn't find anything interesting on clearance. But my attempt to stop the vouchers breeding got off to a good start.
1
Olay wash - £5.86
used wrinklie so 56p paid
2 TD moisturiser -£5.86
£5 wrinklie so 86p
P+P hand cream £10
used P+P acm £5 and perkie -so 0p
TS conditioner £4.79
used hairy and 150 pts acm
added a magazine to take it to over £5 so received wrinklie, hairy and perkie
3 L'Oreal revitalift mask £13.69
used wrinklie
TS shampoo £4.79
used hairy and 150pts acm
pkt handkies 48p
to pay £11.96
got wrinklie, hairy and perkie
Then we headed back to Livingston and phoned Mum to say we'd take her out. I promised her a free P+P handcream, and she needed some new moisturiser.
This is where I got a bit confused. I knew I'd got all my vouchers sorted out to get the best deal, but it didn't quite work out that wayat first
I put everything into my basket, for me and for Mum. I had Mum AC and my own one.
I was looking for Fadedpages, who had disappeared again, and SA at Clarins till offered to take me through there. I put my basket up and explained there were 2 separate shops and to let me sort it out first. But she "helped" and it all landed up going through as one
I think it went like this...
P+P hand cream £10
£5 P+P acm, £5 perkie, 10% 60+ discount
TD moisteriser £10.27
£5 wrinklie, 10% 60+
(That should have been all of Mum's. She should have paid £3.15)
SA continued
TS shampoo £4.79
wrinklie, 150acm pts
Olay wash £5.86
used wrinklie
Earned the usual wrinklie, hairy and perkie.
Now if that had gone through as 2 sales there wouldn't have been a problem. SA said £16.89. I knew there was something wrong but Mum was hurrying us out. DD said check it later, we can come back.
We eventually got back about 1 1/2 hrs later. I went to tills and explained to SA that I'd been overcharged. She checked with another SA and then a third (lady from No7 till) She tried to calculate it all and decided I was due £5. DD and I tried to explain it all, including that it should have gone as 2 sales cos there were 2 wrinklies used. Eventually she called for duty manager who was very sympathetic and "fiddled" for ages. She agreed I was £10 overcharged so cancelled 2 sales and put them back through, giving me £5 back each time. I kept apologising for being a pest but all SAs were very lovely.
Today I was planning on a little trip to the Livingston store to spend the rest of my vouchers and leave any spare on the shelves. But DS put paid to that, he decided he wanted to go to the Gyle. I could go to Boots there instead
I still had Mum's AC which happened to be the first card I brought out of my purse.
1
P+P hand cream £10
used P+P acm, perkie and 10% 60+
Olay definity pore scrub £7.82
used wrinklie
JF serum £1.95
used hairy
Total paid £1.82
2
As 1 above but with Roc foam face wash instead of Olay £6.84 in place of £7.82
Total spend 84p
3
No7 Intelligent Balance Day fluid (in clearance) £2.20
10% 60+ discount
TS mini conditioner - £1.56
TS mini shampoo - £1.56
Tried to use 2 @ 150pts but it only took 1
Total to pay £5.10
received wrinklie, hairy and perkie (and I was trying to get rid of them)
All points went on to Mum's card
We then headed back to Livingston, so I dropped DS back at home and went for 1 last attempt at getting rid of the breeding vouchers.
I had a wander round looking for bargains and found 3 x CW items in clearance at £2
4
P+P handcream £10
£5 acm P+P, £5 perkie, 10% 60+
Olay wash £5.86
£5 wrinklie
CW styling spray £2
Came out as -14p. SA was confused so instead of needing to get 14p back I added a pkt of hankies @48p
Total to pay 34p
5
P+P handcream £10
£5 acm P+P, £5 perkie, 10% 60+
Roc foam wash £6.84
£5 wrinklie
CW conditioner £2
used hairy
Total to pay 84p
I still had vouchers left, but was almost done. If I got rid of the breeding pauir I'd have no more wrinklies or hairies
6
Olay definity illuminating cream wash £7.82
used wrinklie
CW conditioner £2
used hairy
£2.82 to pay
Last voucher to go
7
T&G rubber shine from clearance £1.25
used last hairy and nothing to pay. Till even let me use 150pts acm voucher too, so Mum earned another 150 pts. Only fair she gets them as I got the benefit of her 10% 60+ discount.
I now have no wrinklies or hairies left, so they won't be able to breed anymore :j
I've no perkies either but if I ever dare to head back to Boots it won't take long to earn more.
I've got loads of little groups of products now, so ready for presents or little boxes for raffle gifts. I could even include 1 of DD's HE bottles from a couple of weeks ago. She donated them to her dear brother who is trying to give them all away.
I don't want to count how much I've spent I just know I have saved £118.40 in 2 days.
Just do not let me go anywhere near Boots for a very long time, please. :eek:0 -

£1.72 and on 342 if you can find them. Fingers crossed. Hth
Can't stop. Be back later. Thanks for the PM's (you know who you are) and will reply asap x
Apologies for quoting myself againbut the Sanctuary sets that I've spotted (and bought) have all been on SEL. Sorry for not elaborating
but I guess it doesn't hurt to have a quick price check if you pass them.
Just had a quick skim read of the last few pages, and realised that these sets are filtering through to other stores (thanks for mentioning when you do spot them btw, it reassures me that I'm not seeing (or buying things) that other people aren't.) If that makes sense
I don't think for one minute that this area gets these bargains put on the shelves before other areas, but I've also noticed that people are mentioning reduced FCUK (I'd wait for that to go to 75% off as it did up here) but those have been on offer for a while now too. Rubes might know better than me
Then I noticed that people were mentioning the 342 and 75% off dental care items, which were also on offer up here last weekso maybe this area is setting some sort of a trend because of the poor economy? I dunno really, but what I do know is that if I see anything at 75% off, and it hasn't been mentioned, I'll definitely be posting it up, because it seems that these offers do go nationwide eventually.
Hope that cleared that upx

Dear Mr Boots, or any of his Customer Service Staff who may be reading Grabbit,
As you can see, we spend, collectively, an enormous amount of money at your establishments, probably sufficient to pay off the National Debt. We are helping the economy and putting the Great back into Great Britain.
Although we save money through careful coupon and voucher use, and the odd glitch that comes our way, we could probably save a whole lot more by equally careful shopping at supermarkets or pound shops.
However, I know I am not the only person who considers Bootsing a hobby, and you don't need to tell me you think I'm sad, because I know you'd think that. Though actually I feel happy!
However, you will no doubt have read from our posts that although the majority of your Sales Assistants do their job to an acceptable standard, and many are extremely helpful and friendly, there are several that are letting your company down.
One of the worst offences seems to be that neither the Sales Assistants, or even worse, the Supervisors or Managers, appear to "know the rules" with regard to accepting ACM vouchers, whether issued from their branch or not.
As if this wasn't bad enough, the customer is then made to feel embarrassed and humiliated. Is this acceptable to you? In fact, whatever happened to the maxim "The customer is always right"?
I know that there are lots of customers too, who do not know the meanings of the words "please" and "thank you", but surely we shouldn't be punished for the bad manners of others?
Also Mr Boots, there appears to be a tendency by some of your staff to view the Customer With Coupons as being the Lowest Of The Low. I am fed up having to do an Oscar-winning performance, that would put Kate Winslett in the shade, and act surprised when a Sales Assistant comments on the low cost of my purchases, thanks to my use of coupons, all of which have been provided by Your Good Self.
May I therefore kindly request that you implement a training programme that encompasses the ready acceptance of proferred vouchers and Advantage Card coupons and acquaint your staff with the fact that these coupons and vouchers can be used in any branch.
Finally, it does your staff no credit whatsoever, when a customer has a query, and pleasantly suggests that the store telephones Customer Services for clarification, that they are told to do it themselves.
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to read my letter, and I look forward to seeing my suggestions implemented and executed in the very near future.
Yours sincerely
A Boots Wellwisher0
