What did the GWP look like? Up til recently, if you spent £15 on Max Factor, you got a Max Factor black clutch bag, with loads of minis inside, and a full size nail polish. This GWP also scanned at £0.00, even if you didn't have the qualifying spend on MF.
Yeh thought it was odd that he said Max Factor - think SA must've got it wrong - have checked on .com and its actually if you spend £15 on Loreal - makes more sense!! Might be worth another look for me as I use Loreal stuff plus could use the £5 skincare wrinkle & get the GWP - here it is!

Well where do I start? Personally, I blame Fadedpages. She has been leading me astray. I’ve had my Boots Advantage Card for many years and only normally used it for little things. I often went shopping and didn’t even have my card with me.
Then last weekend she was coming through to Livingston and asked if I would take her down to The Centre as she wanted something in Boots. She explained briefly but I didn’t really understand. But I duly collected her and headed off for quite an eye opening experience. I can’t remember what she bought, I just remember having my AC taken from me and stuffed into the ACM. She printed out several vouchers and insisted that as 1 of them gave me more points than she’d get for the same thing, she’d just use mine. Kind of her wasn’t it?
She used her many vouchers, while I had a wee wander to see what all the fuss was about. She had an extra No7 voucher and used 1 of my £5 P+P vouchers. I bought the P+P Hand Cream and Lip Care, and got a gwp too. I was quite chuffed. I even got a bottle of HE, but she got all the points on her card. Quite how that worked I’m not sure. She had me confused at that time.
On Saturday I just happened to find myself going past Boots again, well not past I went in. I tried the ACM and got another £5 P+P voucher so used it to buy some Beauty Serum, and got another gwp. Also used 250 pts voucher from 1st gwp.
Then my dear darling daughter phoned on Sunday morning to say she was coming through to visit again. I haven’t seen so much of her since she moved out last June. We went out for lunch with my mum and headed to Boots AGAIN. I don’t know what I bought, but I’m sure I didn’t come out with nothing. Got lots more vouchers from ACM
Yesterday I went back again. It’s definitely all Fadedpages fault!!! I bought P+P body serum with £5 voucher and the NO7 rechargeable manicure kit. I stupidly only tried to get 1 gwp. I think I probably could have got 2. I also got some Trevor Sorbie items with 2 x £2 voucher and 2 lots of 150 points too (I thought I might give the manicure kit to Mum for Mothers Day. But by the time I got it home I decided to try it myself. She’s not getting it.)
Today I had yet another profitable trip, this time to Boots at Gyle in Edinburgh. I thought a different store might have different offers. I was right. First I headed to find the Girard gift sets. Not being sure which fragrance I’d like best I found a helpful SA. She let me try all 4 fragrances and I decided on 1 for myself and 1 for Mum - £8.56 each. I had 2 x 500pts vouchers from the Valentine’s booklet. I had a lovely root round the store and found a few surprises. The biggest was Eveready rechargeable batteries AA for £1.50, so I bought 4 packs. I’ll never need to buy AA batteries again hopefully.
I then found Roc 2 pack night crème reduced to £7.34 - £5 voucher so £2.34
Roc wipes £6.48 - £5 skincare voucher - £1.48
TS Hairspray £4.39 - £2 voucher + 150 points
TS Smoothing balm £4.88 - £2 voucher + 150 points
I also found a P+P Cooling Aftersun reduced to £1.75, but the till wouldn’t accept a £5 P+P voucher L
I now have lots of lovely skincare items for myself, and a couple of presents. I’ve also added an unbelievable no. of points to my AC, and had great fun too.
Tomorrow I’m taking Mum shopping and she wants to see what all the fuss is in Boots. Goodness knows what we’ll come home with, and she has the extra bonus of 10% off too…0 -
*laughs* Hi mum! I've definitely corrupted you!
I did better than you on the TS front then - the shine spray I got only cost £3.91, so with £2 wrinklie and 150 points, only 41p in Boots logic. For anyone who has TS 150 points vouchers to use, I checked the website last night and it's the cheapest thing that isn't a mini - Freshen and Shine Spray, it's called.0 -

I've lost count of what I've saved. I got the shine spray yesterday when I used a £2 wrinklie and 150pts.
Today I took more care with the order I gave the vouchers. Now I'm learning I'm sure your Nana and I can get into all kinds of trouble tomorrow0 -

New York Nights supposedly smells like Armani Code (I don't know what it's like, so I couldn't tell you). Quite warm and spicy.
Bali Sunrise and Provence Spring are both quite light florals - Bali Sunrise is quite citrusy too, at least to begin with.
Lysval is a heavier, more old-fashioned floral scent.
At least, that's what they came across as to me, other people might have different descriptions of them.0 -

SA said that the Lysval was similar to Anais Anais - Mum likes that
New York Nights and Bali Sunrise are quite different but I like both of them. I'm very fond of Armani Diamonds, Opium and Coco Chanel if that helps.
Fadedpages will be able to explain better. My sense of smell isn't very good, but I can smell a nice perfume when I find one
Ask a SA to let you try them.0 -
I bought the Lysval set and it reminds me of the smell of stargazer lilies - quite a heady, floral scent.RIP Marmaduke 04.02.11, MIsty 09.06.12 and Rufus 19.7.24 very, very sadly missed xxx
