It shows up now in both posts but it didn't before - using firefox

Maybe you've closed the window and that's refreshed the cashe or summat.... anyway working now which is the main thing.

main question is - do you like it? Oh it feels flimsier than the Plus card which is quite 'fat' to be fair.... feels nice (must be a Kudos thing)

I'm using Firefox and there is no picture in your post. I can see the card when I click the link on the word "Here" though.

Then it's your system as well. I only use FF and loaded it with FF as well. so to be honest I know for a fact that it works - LOL

Anyway, it doesn't matter - so long as you see it on the website that's the main thing.....

    Woohoo!

I phoned First Direct who confirmed they are rolling these card out for their customers based on card renewal date, or sooner.

They will have the valuable rights a la credit cards for purchases between £100 and £30k i.e. if the supplier goes bust, the bank will intervene.

For existing customers who have a cheque guarantee facility this will continue on the new card. New customers will not have the cheque guarantee facility.

Visa debit cards do not have the same legal protection in law as credit cards do.

They do however have something called Visa Debit Chargeback which is similar in some respects but run by Visa.

But will they continue any £250 guarantee, or slash it to £100 like HSBC?

Does anyone know what the foreign exchange rates are like with the new card? i.e if I was to make a purchase in USD, and get a USD refund back to the card. I can see from guide to services page8 that they will rake off at least 2.75% of the purchase, or at least 4.8% at an ATM, but what is the spread of the underlying exchange rate they start with? Basically they say wait and see what we charge you on your statement to find out what it cost you. I hate lack of transparency like that.
