Just an update- Oxfam have filled their places for Glastonbury.
You can however still apply for the following festivals:
Rockness
Glade
Leeds
Reading
Creamfields
Bestival and a couple of others.
Go to: http://www.oxfam.org.uk/get_involved/stewarding/index.html
Just checked this link does work.0 -
Hi everyone,
I emailed Stuart Security today as I have not heard any news about my application.
They replied pretty quickly and told me that I should hear about my CRB by the end of April.
Has anyone else on here applied yet?
Surely there must be someone! Otherwise it will be up to me to represent the MSE crowd :money:0 -
gonna send off my application tomorrow if i can get the time off work
whats it liek for getting out of the car park - do they have their own?
are the shower facilities that bad?
is there any access to mobile phone chargers?0 -

Just a note about Oxfam...you can put yourself on the waiting list, as they often open up again before the festival. Same goes for all festivals - and you only have to pay one deposit to cover all the festivals you want to work in one summer!
Great way to go to the festivals and raise lots of money for Oxfam..0 -
I worked there for Close Protection UK, another security firm, so it's also worth considering them if you have an SIA badge.
I'll be giving it a miss this year though.0 -

Thanks
Do you have any brief comments on what the overall working experience was?
:j0 -
Well, as far as I know they only took on SIA licensed operatives but I did backstage/VIP areas mainly. They were great to work for and paid a good wage promptly. I'd recommend them.0
