Simple as this. Start it at the lowest price you would accept. Only start at 99p if you would take 99p for it.

The tale gets even more exciting. I have just received a message from the seller apologizing and saying that they didn't know that it was a binding contract and that they were new to ebay, blah, blah, blah and WAIT FOR IT : that if I wanted the suit they would accept £ 7 for it. What the ----? I won the auction at £ 1 and thay want £ 7? They think it's a car boot sale. I told them to forget it and just leave me + feedback ;) . Now let's see what will happen next. Just report them as a non performing seller (or whatever it is called now).

Mail the seller and tell them you will only pay your winning bid plus postage costs, not any more.

Explain this isn't the way e-Bay works and that if they didn't want to accept £1 for the item, they shouldn't have had their starting price at this amount.

I'd leave the negative feedback too to warn other potential bidders/buyers how this particular seller works.

Something like 'would not accept winning bid, wanted much more for the item' would do.

Wait 89 days to leave feedback, then there is less risk of you receiving a negative feedback in return.

You can leave feedback after 90 days there is a loophole

And what would you have said to the winner?

I would have offered it him/her at a higher price. Still at a bargain.

Or I would have said oops, I broke it.

To be honest, ive thought quite a bit about what I said earlier and what I would actually do. And I dont think I would have risked putting it on at 99p anyway...
  • You need to go to community, then find reply to feedback. You can leave feedback long after the 90 days. So I would not leave neg as You will probibly get neg feedback in return
