Seller says: sorry but not selling for this price, this time!!!! What would you do????

Hi
I need some advice about what to do with this seller. I bid for an won a snowsuit for my daughter 2 days ago. Seller only accepts postal orders or cheque but did not send me an invoice with their address. I sent them a message asking for their details to send a cheque and here is their reply:
hello
I am very upset at the low price of this item and feel that it is worth more as I paid £25,I realise I would not get that for it but more than £1 ! sorry but not selling for this price, this time.
 I am really angry about this as I was watching some other snowsuits that I could have bid on and won but they ended after I won the snowsuit in question. The seller obviously wasted my time. Is there anything I can do besides leave negative feedback??

PS Their feedback score is 6

Read this page from eBay: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/seller-non-performance.html I think you can report them to eBay.

I'd e-mail eBay - or just wait for a reply to this thread as I know someone will know what to do!

Also - i don't know if it would work but send an email stating that by selling their item they entered into a legally binding contract and unless they want a NPS strike on their account, neg feedback and the possibilty of Ebay suspending their account then they will have to keep their end of the contract.

Please let us know what happens.

buy one brand new and half price from asda!
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Be careful how you pay too. Pay by paypal if you can as if you send a cheque they will claim it keeps getting lost in the post. Or they will not send the item and claim it must have got lost in the post and then you will find it has been relisted. If you pay by paypal you can do a chargeback if they dont send it.

This is how Ebayers get a bad name. I regularly place my stuff on starting at 99p if they go for that they go for that. (last week i put an item on for 1p and guess what - it went for 1p cost me more in ebay charges but i stood by my sell) If he didn't want to sell it at a low price he should have put a reserve on it. This seller has no comeback....

I have been thinking along the same lines and to be honest, it's not worth the hassle. I am probably not going along with the sale now myself but I just want to make life miserable for the seller. They don't accept paypal.

That has also happened to me several times. And this is exactly what I told the seller in my email. If they wouldn't sell it beneath a certain price they should have placed it on BIN or put a higher starting price.

I think this is a good idea. At the end of the day, you have lost nothing. Sometimes it is too easy to go down the route of reporting them etc. I agree its wrong, but just get another one and forget about it.

I would report them, but also be careful about negative feedbacking them because they will probably do the same to you! If you can try and get them to leave positive feedback for you first saying how good you were about them withdrawing before you neg them!!
