It's easy to forget about it but I think that I have an obligation towards other potential buyers. They need to know that this seller is not reliable. So even if I don't go through with the sale I'll leave them a negative. I know I risk retaliatory negative feedback from them but stating the facts and a good reply to their feedback will show who is at fault. Unless I can make them leave positive for me firsthighguyuk wrote:I think this is a good idea. At the end of the day, you have lost nothing. Sometimes it is too easy to go down the route of reporting them etc. I agree its wrong, but just get another one and forget about it.
. Besides I have 135 + to their 6 +. If I get a negative now I'll be 99.4% + while their feedback will be 86 % +. I

greytroot wrote:This is how Ebayers get a bad name. I regularly place my stuff on starting at 99p if they go for that they go for that. (last week i put an item on for 1p and guess what - it went for 1p cost me more in ebay charges but i stood by my sell) If he didn't want to sell it at a low price he should have put a reserve on it. This seller has no comeback....
i know, i put a brand new portable cd player/radio/tapedeck on starting at 99p and that's all it went for even though it had 20 watchers
that was really hard but i sent it out... made me feel sick to my stomach but i sent it

Im 100% with 106 feedback from different users - and there is no way I would have sent it out...
Not sure I would have listed it for 99p though...0 -
Hi Nadia
i always start everything a 99p and some you win and some you lose. Some things i am sure will go for loads don't and vice versa. You just have to bite the bullet and hope the buyer realises what a bargain they have got. Also I try and think that maybe they are hard up and deserve a bit of luck. What goes round comes round.
Good luck with it

I had a similar situation with an antique radio - selling for my sister - we expected at least....£20 but it went for £11.00 despite a ton of watchers too - gutting after paying listing and then paypal fees. But you have to honour your agreement.
Infact had I been more savvy I would have bought it off her myself - as it was a dear little thing, but all previous models had sold well on ebay!

I always start everything at 99p. It will always go up to it's proper value at the end of the auction anyway and putting it on at 99p keeps the listing fee's down.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

If you dont want something to go at a low price you shouldnt start the listing at a low price! Its his/her own fault for starting the listing at a low price in the first place, obviously to avoid ebay fees!Weight Loss - 102lb0
