Yikes 1st credit have one of our debts - Make that 2

Hi Cocker100.
Well it never rains but it pores. We now have a 2nd debt in the hands of 1st credit. OH Citi card. I think the missed phonecall was for the Citi debt now rather than the MBNA one.
So this weekend we need to sit down and work out a plan of action. Looks like with my income now that we will go it alone and leave CCCS as for most of our debts we will be able to pay our original amounts.
Still looks like another CCA request to 1st credit. The one for MBNA reaches it default on Wednesday next week.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Just actually had a look at the letter from Citi. It is a on very think paper. The citi heading is not in colour and looks photocopied.
I think i remember reading about photo copied letters used by DCA but cant find any info on this. Does anyone know if these letters are from Citi or 1st credit.
Anyway have emailed CCCS with the details.February 2013 NSD - 40 -

Hi,
A lot of people who are dealing with 1st Credit have had their Citi debts passed onto them, so you are not alone.
I must admit, i've often wondered if any of my other creditors will eventually sell the debt onto them. Saying that, they might not buy it because they know i'll fight them all the way to make them prove they can legally enforce it.

Common tactic used this one. I believe they use the letter headers from their clients to send out their own letters. Where is the address on the letter, and the return address on the back of the envelope?
Dont know the legalities of this.

Address on letter is admiral way, doxford international business park, sunderland.
OH opened the letter and has thrown the envelope away so no idea of return address.
They need new toner in their printer anyway as most of the main paragraph on the left side is very faint. Very professional:rolleyes:February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Okay I think we have moved to a parrallel universe.
I1st credit called to speak to OH, he answered the phone. They asked for his CCCS Ref number and then said we shall contact CCCS regarding their proposed payment. however it is unlikley this will be accepted. 1st credit phoned back within 10 minutes and confirmed that the payment was fine and they will accept this!!!!!!! They mentioned the other account OH has and asked if he still wanted the CCA, he said yes, they said not a problem they will get this sent and then they will agree to our proposed payment for that account too.
!!!!!! the other week they were threatning all sorts. COuld this be a knock on effect from the OFT the other week?February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Meant to add that the OH said the lady from 1st credit was very nice as well.
Have emailed CCCS to let them know 1st have agreed to our payments.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Hi LFTS, it will be interesting to see how this continues with you as a 'new' case taking into account the recent slap they got from the OFT.
HOPE1234.........have you been to the CAB or contacted National Debtline about your situation........it may be too late, it may not be, but please dont just let it lie.
Judges are not always right you know. there has been a 'discussion' paper going around Parliamentary Offices about being able to instantly get a Charging Order ( i.e making an unsecured loan a secured one ) but NOTHING HAS BEEN PASSED!..........however some Judges have (wrongly ) issued Orders along these lines........get it checked, please. Pepe .:D stay wonky

Great news LFTS!!!
Still waiting for their reply to my SAR request.:rolleyes:0 -
Pepe I too think its because we are a new case after the knuckle wrap from the OFT.
Well not much to report. Received the letter from 1st credit advising they now have the citi debt and to call them ASAP, however since we have spoken to them prior to receiving this and they have agreed to the payment we will not be calling.
On the MBNA account the 12 + 2 day was up on Tuesday but since I have been working this week I have not had time to sit and do a letter to them but will tomorrow.February 2013 NSD - 40
