I'd go for the Galaxy out of those. We had one and it was fab.

The Kia has a terrible safety rating, if I'm not wrong, and aren't the seats in a strange combination, too?

And the Previa will hold its value well, but they are expensive to buy and expensive to repair.
  • You've got the known faults of the TDCI tho. Toyota might be expensive to fix, but theres not much goes wrong with them.

I've looked at most peoplecarriers recently but decided on a minibus instead. The problem with peoplecarriers is the lack of space. I'd already noticed the zafira was lacking but further checks on others showed that I can either have 7 seats and no boot or 5 seats and a boot.
Search the forum for Ford TDCI faults. Theres a couple of costly faults that can happen on them (hopefully more modern ones will have them ironed out but better to see for yourself). Personally it wouldnt put me off them though (i've 2 tdci's already).

Have you thought of Honda FRV ? 6 Seats without compromising the large boot in a package the size of a scenic. We found we had the same problem deciding if we wanted 7 seats (with the kids effectively in the boot) or 5 seats and a boot (might as well have considered an estate)

Work have 3 Galaxys as taxi's older than that one like 51's so I think they would be TD's not the TDi but they seem really reliable only thing that needs seems to go are drive shafts at 120K miles.

Or a Fiat multipla - cheaper and much more spacious but spend some of the saving on a good warranty. I am much happier not having my kids with their heads close to the rear window in the crumple zone.
    I think....

It's the diesel one. To be honest it's bleedin awful to drive!! The last one I sold went 400 miles away to East Sussex.

Still surprised it hasn't sold, though, the actual vehicle is a good compromise of midi MPV & estate, with a pretty good following, with their owners.

You must have only got high numbers left, in your screen hanger box!!

    Previa!!

And it should not be more expensive to service and repair at all - as long as you don;t use main stealers!

Didn't the early Galaxy's have gearbox problems??

Kia - parts are dear - and they are a mare to service and doing the cam belt is a right pigs trotter.............

    What about an Alhambra?

Same chassis as the Galaxy & VW Sharan, but cheaper.

Ours is the TDi with all the options. Big & comfy & easy to drive.
