Guys, thank you very much for the mention, there is so much resource amongst the IT savvy folk on here it is great, we all don't get it right all the time but that is why were are here to help and support.
Now, I will publish a link to a site where you can make a donation through PayPal....only joking.

    Kind Regards

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

I would like to thank browntoa for advice the other day, I was helping a friend out because all the desktop icons had disappeared. He gave me advice but this laptop had so many viruses (?spelling) and malware that was changing the registry I didn't want to risk doing anything myself. If it had been my laptop I would of risked it.

But thank you so much for replying to my thread

But also thanks to the rest of you, I am more of a lurker but do read the advice given, I have installed all the free software you recommended, my pc and laptop run great, and I have learnt so much from you all

I don't think it's a case of some posters being more helpful than others - everybody helps in their own way, it's just that some are more knowledgeable than others - that'll be Alienrick, Thomas and Albert then! :p

My vote of thanks goes to (in no particular order):-
    browntoa
    espresso
    alienrik
    reluctant spender

All must have the patience of saints and the technical know-how of MS (is that an insult )

Just one quick question, though ...... how did/do you learn so much?
:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.
