Went to Dundee store at 11:50AM and staff advised they were sold out. Carpark full of builder vans, wish I'd went earlier.0

Hi just a quick update. We are trying to get some (live in Swindon) and my dad is trying to get some (Near Durham/Newcastle).
Gateshead/ Newcastle area stores are all sold one. Scotswood had sold out by 10am this morning. Durham has a few left - he is hot footing there now as we speak.
We have managed to find some at cribbs causeway (Bristol) Hubby was there already with the car - haven't checked Swindon stores.
I spoke to the store manager in Durham. These should not have been sold to trade customers - they have in scotswood as the person that my Dad spoke to there told him that they started selling at 7am to their trade people!!
Anyway all stores are expecting to be sold out before the end of the day.
You can not phone and reserve - believe me I have tried but you cal call and check if they have any stock so you will know in advance whether it is worth making the trip. If you use the B & Q website store finder it lists all the stores near you with telephone numbers.
Good luck to you all0 -

They have been selling these packs for ages, they started at £10 a pack, subsidised by B Gas ( from £30), then a month ago reduced them to £5, and they have only been selling slowly in local B&Q. Seems like BG are feeling guilty :rolleyes2 or trying to gain some brownie points as a smokescreen for their mingy price cuts.
I got 3 for £13.50 with the Wednesday 10% discount for oldies in Jan. £3 has started a stampede, yet not £5. I will never understand people.

Appears the trade spread the word to each other fast and Manchester B&Q's also out of stock already!0
