edited 21 February 2010 at 4:09AM in It's gone, but was it any good?
21/2/2010 Updated this from LAST YEAR as the rolls are now back at B & Q - even cheaper this time £2.50 for a 3 roll pack.

Just come back from B & Q. Went down for light fittings - have checked grabbit & couldn't see anything on the insulation deal they have. They have loft insulation - pack of 3 rolls for £3:j
Covers 5.4 sq. meters per pack of 3 to a depth of 200mm.:D :T
Managed to get the 10 packs of 3 we needed in a Fiat Doblo - just! Left the light fittings as couldn't get those in too & these were too good a deal to miss. Should pay for itself in a couple of months.:T

In a car you'll probably only get about 5 in a trip - depending on car size.
You need to be quick as the person in front of us bought 20. They had plenty but they will go quickly.

DIY retailer B&Q is selling packs of loft insulation for £3 in stores (it normally costs £10). Each pack contains three rolls and covers 5.4msq. The insulation is 20cm thick. Officially the offer's limited to 15 packs per customer yet MoneySavers discussing this offer below have reported being able to buy more than that. The offer's not available online.

While some people below have said their stores have run out it's worth giving your nearest a ring to check as the offer only began Friday and B&Q has confirmed there will be more deliveries to stores later this week (a million rolls are being made available for this offer nationwide). Use the store finder on the B&Q website to find your nearest.

Thankyou, WishI'dReadSooner got 6 rolls in my Zafira :D All seats down and pushed to the front. It must be a great deal as the car park was littered with builders on mobiles and piles of insulation.
  • The limit is 15 packs @ £3 each, and each pack has 3 rolls in it.

    3 rolls cover about 5 square m.

I got 6 packs (probably too many as I didn't realise the 3 rolls per pack measure) into a Corolla with seats down, 5 in back/boot, 1 on front seat - whoops, must go back for wife !!

You also MUST fill in a questionnaire and give your name and address (condition of sale)

You can return excess within 90 days for full refund.
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

Just got some, managed to squeeze 6 rolls (just) into my Astra. Someone posted earlier this week that this offer was coming today so I was watching out for it and got down there pronto. Hay, whoever it was thanks.:j
I am hoping that the 6 rolls do the job (pack of 3) covers 5.4 sq.meters. I estimate that my floored section is = 22.5 sq meters plus the 6 packs = 32.4; that's a total of 54.9sq. meters. What area would an average 3 bedroom house roofspace be? does any one know
Guess I now need some of the insulation board to lay on the wooden floor. It's a bit more expensive. Is there any deals going?
