Today I did a HUGE shop at MrT's. Before you all say "hang on a minute, that's not very dfw" I'll give a little explanation;) I usually do a weekly shop which comes to about £50-ish (more on the side of ish:o) so this month I have decided to try and do a BIG shop for the month and then try and only top up fresh bits every week. I'm aiming for a £50 month saving.

I did our weekly shop today.
TBH we are broke at the moment so i was trying to keep it as low cost as possible.

So we decided to try out Aldi. Not quite sure I understand what all the fuss is about. It was ok but the range was poor. Can't get a lot there really.

Spent £20.57 in Aldi then went to Tescos to finish off the shop.

Spent another £29, therefore just shy of £50 spent.

I compared the bread prices and coffee to Aldi and Tesco was actually cheaper! So I won't be doing Aldi again, its 10 miles away too. It was not worth it.

So today, my other dfw things to add to my original list are:

done weekly shop - total £50
worked out that Aldi does not necessarily indicate cheaper - lesson learned!!:p

Now I am going to go out and see if i can sell my body on Manningham Lane in Bradford. :p Knowing my luck they will ask for change!!!

p.s. you did all realise i was joshing then.....didn't you?

  • My casserole is in the over, not too chuffed about how it's gonna turn out to be honest, might stick some gravy in there and see if that helps matters.
