My favourite is '5 OS pleasures in your day today'...it's lovely to read about the good that everyone can find in their day no matter how many problems or troubles they have, it's a really friendly community with everyone looking out for and encouraging each other, and not a grumble in sight! :A
I agree. This has to be top of the list for me. Even when I'm down and can't think of anything to post, reading how other people find pleasure in just everday life cheers me up and makes me think again about what I should be thankful for.
Second would have to the OS weight loss thread as it helps reduce the damage all the other good threads do - like twinks hobnobs, microwave sponges, thriftlady's chocolate fudge cake etcworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
D&DD's 'Family of 5 Shop from Home' is my favourite and I was sad when she stopped posting in it. Maybe now you're back D&DD? Also Where the OS magic happens I like, glad to see it's just been revived!
I have to say, I only read a certain selection of threads, otherwise I would never drag myself away from the computer!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

I'm quite new to the OS boards so thanks for giving me some starting points. I've been reading meal plans and have started to give them a try (albeit I had to spend a bit to get the things in, just learning though).
Also started reading it is tough NOW... and finding some great info and also people on there. Will look at the ones you have suggested too.

There are so many threads that I love - but the one I really miss is the "Shabby Chic" thread. It was always the first one I looked at when I logged in.
I know they started up their own site but it just doesn't "feel" the same"Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

"Sneaky ways to save the Pennies" - It was the first thread I posted in (actually registered just to post there!). Have it on Daily notification and I absolutely love it!
Oh yes, I love that one too, and I have been sneaking a lot of the tips into my own life! It is an extremely helpful thread, especially for those of us with an OH who turns his nose up at anything which doesn't have a brand name on the front. *sigh*
He would be shocked if he knew half of what was going into our washing machine, cleaning products, bog roll dried food etc, shocked I tells ya! :rotfl: And watering down full fat milk has got to be THE most simple idea I had never thought of. :beer:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I love most of the OS threads, but particular faves are Grocery Challenge, Meal Planning (weekly threads), 5 OS Pleasures in your day today, Sneaky ways to save the pennies, Whats in your SC today ?......I am sure there are more lol.
I was a flylady fan too but what with dodgy back and DS I found joining it made me over-do things and feel too guilty.
Oh yeah and the cross stitch thread too :j.
