Following on from my disaster of Pea & Ham Soup, I am having a go at this I've bought the same Stew packs, I've browned the meat and its currently cooling, the veg is chopped and in the fridge ready to go in the SC tomorrow! Hopefully this will turn out edible :rotfl:0

It's possible that you are less competent in the kitchen than me, but highly unlikely. :eek:
Watch that dumpling mixture though, it's seriously sticky. I used another batch this weekend to hold down a couple of loose roof tiles. Don't even think about putting your hands near it, use two spoons intead.

just stumbled on this thread after officially feeling old.
Had some beef (bought too much for last night) and felt like my mum slinging it in the slow cooker with some veg and stock etc. I did half a can of carling in my hand, now i've half a can and half in the stew.0 -
