SC stew help for bloke please

    I mix my dumplings with a knife. Divide the mixture into four while in the bowl then place them in the stew.

    Yes the do sink and grow large. :eek:

    Normally have a bowl of water ready to wash hands, saves scraping the excess dumpling off the taps. :rotfl:

    Well, a knife was my choice of mixing tool too! :cool: It wouldn't divide though - too sticky! Did I add too much water? It didn't take much at all. :confused:

    They are sticky. Its just to roughly divide them to get them equalish in amount. They make their own shape when they are in the stew.

    It's SOOOOO funny :rotfl:

    Hope the concoction is going well, test the dumplings with a fork before you switch everything off. I always find that mine take longer than they should. If you make a hole in the top of one it should look dry inside not wet and sticky ;)

    It is not a "concoction"! :mad: It's proper stew made with a stew pack and stewing steak - definately very stewy! :cool:

    And very timely post ta...I was just about to ask how you check dumplings. :T
