    &^$%^&$% waste of money!!!!

No doubt it will be another !!!! up of gigantic proportions, late, grossly over budget and it probably won't work as intended.

This is the problem when the party with 35% of the vote governs the entire country.
Proportional Representation is needed, vote in the Libs!!

Come now, it's possible to vote for a party and still think they're ar5eholes with a lot of very bad policies.

For example, I'm going to vote Lib Dem partly because I think Vince Cable is great, and partly as a protest over how egregious the Tories and Labour are. But I'll freely admit that Clegg is a poor leader.

    What about voting Lib Dem?

At the end of the day, people don't generally vote on single issues, so while the Lib Dems may seem like an ok alternative in this instance, they happen to have some pretty crummy policies in other departments. It's all about working out which party has the fewer crummy policies, and going with that, rather than focusing singly on the response to the recession. Unless of course financial policy is the only thing that affect/interests you.
  • Why not vote for other parties than Tory or Labour? Because our stupid system gives a choice of a Labour government or a Tory government.

And no I don't support ID cards. Nor do I want CCTV in every room. But they are interesting points to raise.

Scrap ID cards and we'll still end up with a biometrics database to maintain the passports being brought in across Europe (and elsewhere in the world) that require fingerprints and a scannable photo for the face recognition cameras.

And CCTV? I can't wait to hear a Tory Home Secretary tell the Commons that despite the police's firm support (and evidence) for all that CCTV does to catch criminals they will be abolished. One thing you can always rely on with Tory Home Secretaries is to do things that the police insist will put lives at risk and massively decrease convictions.

Your use of technical jargon combined with your intelligent use of facts has confused me :D.

I support my party. Not all its policies. We debate policies and have disagreements over them. Thats how politics works on Planet Earth. How does it work on your planet?

I note that earlier today you said that Brown messed up. I had until recently thought that you were a fully signed up member of the Labour party - when I read that I assumed I was wrong. But it seems you are after all.

It actually looks like you are one of that rare breed of politicos (although nto as rare as some might think) who is prepared to admit a c***-up. So, sincerely, I salute you.

    (You're still wrong, of course:D )
