James240 wrote:Evening peeps :hello:
(im sooooo geared up for this year in getting rid of my debt :j :j :j )
Right well to start off 2007, my total debt is £9611.96 Which im amazed about considering when i started doing this at the begining of this year my debt stood at £15061  I really cant believe i have paid off soooo much this year and am really proud of myself that i have stuck to overpaying my loan and gettting my finances under control :j :j :j
Right, i have sat down and done my workings out for the whole year (even have a massive Excel spreadsheet that i have done working out my total money for the next 12 months :rotfl: )and if i stick to my budgets by the end of 2007 i will be approx £2300 short of paying off my debt
This is a shame because i really and truly want to get my debt out of the wayso I have in the last few months, started to do matched betting and have so far made £610 :j so im fully optimistic that I will get some where near £2300 or (crossed fingers) reach that figure by the end of December 2007 :j :j as I have made over £600 in just a few months
Basically the next 12 months will really be a test for me cos if I keep to my budgets and keep on target I have a real chance of being debt free in December 2007 and I would be totally over the moon as the last time I was in that position was 1995 when i was 18
My rent has gone up by £30 for 2007 but this is just a small rise and im quite happy with it as ive been paying my friend £250 a month for nearly 2 years now, so im quite lucky to be paying such low rent
Right so for the month of January this is how my finances play out:
WAGES: £1125.37
OUTGOINGS:
RENT £280.00
BROADBAND £0.00
PHONE £40.00
TRAVEL CARD £30.80
SAVINGS £10.00
CREDIT CARD £112.00
LOAN £303.71
O/DRAFT £110.00
TOTAL £886.51
Money left: £1125.37 - £886.51 = £238.86
So with the money that I have left im going to overpay my loan by £150 leaving me £88.86 for the rest of the month
Im going to try and keep to £20 a week in getting food for myself and I will definatley be heading over to the Old Style Boards to see how I can stretch that money further and how to make myself nice food on low budget
In essence this year is the beginning of the end of my debt in 2007 (hopefully and crossed fingers) and I truly hope that I can hit that goal
Many thanks for reading such a long ramble :rotfl: but I really really cant wait to get rid of my debt :j :j many thanks to all the people who have posted on my diary (SS, Ms_London, kipper, Verbatim to name a few) who have kept me going when times have got a bit hard for me and given me the encouragment to keep on going
