arrrgghhhh!!! this will be the second time i have typed this cos the forum just logged me out

Right got paid some of my overtime this month so this is how it plays out this month:

    Savings Transfered: £300

    Total: £1735

    Outgoings this month:

    Rent: £250

So for this month i have £1051.49 left for myself So im going to write a cheque for my Loan to over pay it it by £900 and leave my self £150 for the rest of the month :)

By the time my over payment comes off and so does my regular monthly payment of which £246 comes off my loan i will owe £7294.28 on my loan and doing a few workings out i reckon i can clear this in less than 13 months:T although i am aiming for around 7 or 8 months :o

Ghreat to see an update James. Get well soon and take care of yourself, 5 fresh fruit and veg a day sort of thing! Hope the family crisis is sorted. Has your mum moved? And did you take the pics of the house first?

Well done on the £900 overpayment on your loan. I've arranged to pay £900 off a 0% card that finishes in July. If I do the same in June and July plus transfer £5k to my new fee free HSBC cc, agreed but no card yet, that will clear it. I'll then have until Oct @0% for the HSBC card and my existing LTSB. Aiming to pay off the £5k before the 0 rate ends so will only have 1 balance to transfer in case the fee free transfers finally end.

Sorry, seem to have hijacked your thread there.

Off to see how SS's doing on his thread.

Blimey - I've just read this post from start to finish. What an epic! I just wanted to say well done James, the diary makes for great reading. Also wanted to say be careful with all the overtime. I was working every hour there was (overnighters as well) just to get through my workload over the last nine months or so - I don't even get paid any overtime and because of the workload can't take time off in leiu. Anyway, I got the mumps in January which is a bit of a mare when you're 29 but because I was so run down it developed into meningitis and I was in hospital on a drip before you knew it. So, the moral of this story is, first and foremost you have to take care of you. The overtime is great but not when it is to the detriment of your health.

Keep up the good work though dude!
