Slightly random and apologies if this has already been covered. I've posted on the loans board for info on the northern rock fixed rate loan as according to the website you can overpay it and theres no fee for paying off early and the rate is only 5.6% which is cheaper than egg and cahoot. Keep your eyes peeled on the loans board as I know you like the egg loan for the overpay benefit, but the cheap rate on northern rock could save you a few quid in interest...

Right just a quickie before i sit down and watch Batman Begins

Thanks mate  will check it out, but first i want to get my credit report from who ever Capital one used cos my credit rating is pretty good so im at a loss to why i was turned down......

Right last night i transfered over what i have left of my savings which is £477 into my current account for two reasons

    1. To clear my £50 that i had gone into my overdraft

    and .....

    2. To make an overpayment on my loan :)

Ive still got £800 to come back from my mum once she has sold her house so once ive got that im going to use that to make an overpayment in my loan as well :)

I get paid on this Friday coming so im hoping that my HR depatrment hasnt messed up on my over time, if they havent then i can make another massive overpayment which im hoping should take my loan down to approx £7000 including the additional overpayment im going to make from my savings.

I used to hate the end of the month coming cos it meant that i hardly had any money at all after my overdraft was cleared, now i cant wait for it to come so i can make more over payments on my loan :j

sorry for the little ramble just that im feeling in a very optimistic mood today :)

(and thanks Wanty hehe i may have been drunk then but i tried my hardest to make it readable :D)

James, you have every reason too! You are doing really well :T

It must feel superb to be making all those overpayments. I am very jealous and very proud of you :T :T :T

Keep it up, I love reading your success ;)

Thanks Moozie, im only able to make the over payments at the moment cos ive cut down on everything to an absolute minimum at the moment and im not really having much of a social life either what with trying to plough everything into clearing my debt and doing as much overtime as possible :o

Must admit i cant wait till the end of this week cos my overtime starts coming through and i should be able to make massive dents in my debt at the end of this week which will be superb, will keep up the honour of the "Nerds" and put all my energies into reducing my debt :)
