Apologies... this may have been covered (I haven't read all the postings on this thread)
I see you have £37 /mnth on Gym... that's £440+ /yr.
Do you have to spend this? I'm not trying to discourage you from keeping fit but, at the end of the day, this is about priorities. There are 1001 ways of exercising and keeping fit without paying to do it...
Do you get your monies worth out of it? Would PAYG be cheaper? What do you use when you are there?0 -

Just trying to sit down and work out my overtime that is due to me......
I have done 42hrs 45 min in overtime which is due to me at the end of April.
The break down is as follows: 24hrs at time and a half
18hrs 45 min at double time
Now i get paid £17004 a year and i get paid monthly.... which equates to £1076 after tax roughly a month.
I worked out that my hourly wage is £9.32 an hour (£17004 divided by 12 months in a year which is £1417 a month, then i divide that figue by 4 weeks in a month to give me my weekly wage which is £354.25 and then divide that by my 38 hour working week which gives me £9.32 an hour)
Now obviously this is all before tax is taken.
So ive worked out my overtime i should be owed before tax is as follows:
time and a half is £13.98 an hour and double time is £18.64 and hour.
So i should be paid as follows
24hrs multiplied by £13.98 = £335.52
18hrs 45min multiplied by £18.64 = £349.50
So in total my overtime should be in total £685.02 before tax.....
What im asking is does anyone know if i have worked this out correctly? and if i have does anyone know how much i will get after tax?
many thanks if some one can help me out herei think ive worked it out correctly but im not sure....

I work out your hourly rate to be 8.605 as 17004/52/38
that would make time and a half 12.907
and double time 17.21
hope this helpsThe futures bright the future is Ginger0 -
hiya peeps i havent £17 odd to my name out of next weeks budget but im going to relent and use the fiver ive got out of that to go down the pub ........

I get £8.60 roughly per hour as well - I usually deduct roughly 30% to cover tax and NI which would be £632.10 - 30% (189.63)= £442.47 ish not an exact amount but it works for me.0

I haven't read all of the posts, sorry ... (dial-up)
Have you thought of having a blog? Then you'd have you're own copy to keep, and can copy and paste what's happening to here too? Saves typingAnd PM the add to friends? I'm not sure blogs adds are allowed in sigs
Probably not...
Good luck though, I keep losing track of you!0
