  • I had good :D and bad  experiences in town today.

Obviously I had the 2nd EI voucher as posted earlier which is good :j and I also noted the posts about the Lynx Clicks range and bought 5 deodorants with the till taking £4.00 off as it was just over £10 along wth 5 x 100 vouchers so I actually paid a £1!

I bought some N07 foundation last week on the recommendation of the SA which I managed to exchange (very lucky) for a nicer shade, and I also bought two seperate meal deals with 2 x 100 points vouchers.... all good so far.

I then went to the photo booth to return 2 td items in exchange for more N07 and had such a stressful time. The SA who is usually so nice, was adamant that the creams were classed as cosmetics and not skincare and therefore could not be exchanged or returned.

I thought she was wrong and stood my ground until she called a supervisor, a lesser person would have walked off! my husband was dying of embarassment and walked out of the shop!

The supervisor agreed it was classed as cosmetics and did not want to exchange and kept asking why I wanted to return them. I didn't move and she eventually came out with the stock phrase of, we'll do it for you this one time. ( cue secret grin from me)

At the same time, along with the N07 stuff I exchanged at the photo booth, I also bought 2 Hair science gels for £1.24 but the points voucher didn't go on my receipt. At the same time, I also did the EI I had got with my new voucher and I received those points ok. total came to £12.88 with 1150 points and I walked off.

Got half way round the shop only to realise I hadn't taken the free gift bag at the same time as buying the N07 items so rushed back and she was fine about it and let me have it straight away.

Got home and realised she never gave me a £5 skin care voucher even though it shows on my receipt.

I could go back and query the Hair Science but on the same receipt, it shows 900 points for the EI so I daren't! I could also query the lack of skincare voucher which I think she forgot as she was flustered at being overridden by her supervisor with the TD items but I don't think its worth the hassle.

So all in all, even though I had a lot of hassle, it was still worth it :)!

You could always try emailing boots saying how disappointed you were not to be given a skincare / chocie voucher....worth a shot?

Had a similar thing when trying to exchange some of the more expensive TD products (serum and a restorer) for a couple of moisturisers at first SA said it's cosmetics but after asking manager was oked. Then as wandering round store another SA came up to me and asked me loads of questions, when did I get it, why didn't I want it etc. Got my exchange, but can see a lot of people would have walked away.

Yes, same as the TD and DR stuff too, although they're not going for much, would rather keep the few bits I got than let them go for next to nothing!... was just checking out the foo fighters tickets on there too.. loads of them!
  • Just managed to a 150 point voucher for EI range.
    £1.66 bogof on handwashes.
six bottles £4.98 and 900 points. WINNER.
Watch out, you never know who is about.

I absolutely love my TD stuff and would never part with most of it..... I have been really lazy about skincare for years, but now for the first time, thanks to TD, I am really making an effort and my skin loves it :j The only thing I haven't got yet is the body lotion..... fingers crossed will get that with my skin voucher this weekend..... oh and the lip plumper is is the only thing I have given up on in the TD range it just hurts my lips to use it  maybe its just the chilly weather who knows? Sorry to go off topic a bit, but do you think Boots would change it if I tell them I am not happy with it.... I have used it for a couple of weeks. Any reply/advice would be great as I have never had the courage to take skincare back.
