Just now i have over £105 on my card, (a lot due to this thread) and today when the really nice SA in the store i was in served me said, 'oh you have lots of points so i wont say it out loud'!!! Wondered if there had been a spate of muggings for Boots AC cards in Peterhead recently!! lol
LOL, It could happen!Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110 -
Katyag wrote:Ragtimeplayer, i have had my card for over 5 years. I remember having to get my name changed on it and ive been married for 5 and a half years now. So i have used it millions of times and with having had a baby since its taken a fair battering, with nappies, wipes, bath stuff, jars of food, formula, bottles, breast pump etc. So i have spent loads whilst using it and i usually get quite good offers. But for a while people were getting 100 points on a meal deal but i only ever got 25 points so i dont know what they criteria for getting certain offers are.
Actually you have just given me hope Katyag. My dd never uses the vouchers off her own card, I always borrow her card and put the points onto my own card.
I did wonder if the machine would notice she had started printing vouchers off and would therefore assume she was spending freely and no longer needed the incentive of new vouchers to tempt her with.
This obviously isn't the case if you have been using yours for such a long time and are still getting offers so thank you for thatStopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110 -
Well i would assume that if the machine notices she is printing them and likely to be using them they will keep giving her more. But i think AC machines are a law unto themselves! Ragtimeplayer wrote:Hi All, I too have been frustrated with the lack of vouchers on my card. I am wondering if its anything to do with how long you have had the card?
My dd has had hers for about 3 years and up til recently had about five pounds on it after 3 years of use!
In saying that though, she has great offers on hers and she was the one who had the fabled EI voucher twice.
My friend has also had hers for years and had about £3.00 on it, she only bought things from Boots at christmas, her offers were even better than DD's!
I have had mine for about 3 months and my offers are total rubbish
I have only ever used it to buy the Boots offers I have seen on here plus a few other little bits and only ever get the basic offers and my total spend voucher is always 150 points for a £20 spend etc whereas dd and friends cards give them 75 points on a tenner!
You're not that attractive to a marketing department.
Those who obviously don't have a history of going for the best deals are a salesman's dream.
Thing is, what kind of Boots tart would ever give up on the offers in a desperate bid to convince the AC machine that they're no longer interested in bargains? Not this one, anyway!

i wonder if the machines know when a store is having a massive price down on some items.
i go to a small one conveniently next to tescoit has vouchers for fcuk, but alsa no fcuk reduced.
Now if i go to my own branch which has millions of it reduced the blinking thing refuses me a fcuk voucher:mad:
gonna keep an eye on it see if does happen0 -
You can get the vouchers from the machine in one store to use in another because I did that the last time when i was in glasgow and got loads of points for reduced items items.Hope this helps0

Was in Boots in Guildford yesterday...they had a big box full of FCUK reduced to £2 and under. Most of it was c**p but there was some nice mirrors in there, which would be nice if making up a gift set........no FCUK vouchers to be had though.
Also noticed triple points on Huggies products.0 -
Liverbird wrote:Could be.....I just noticed a huge poster by the nappies saying triple points on huggies products.
Think that if you're a Parenting Club member you will be offered a voucher on the AC machine for triple points, you need to use this the first time you buy Huggies and then the till/AC card remembers you and you will get triple points every time you purchase Huggies in the future without needing a voucher from the machine.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
