To whoever it was who wanted the ipod, have you thought about buying one from Boots.com - using a code to get extra points/discount - then returning it to a store, getting refund and then buying it back again with your points?

I've just had an MP3 player delivered and asked at my local store first if I could do this. They said it would be fine, so I intend to take it in this weekend.

  • I have a 6 yr old and if i hear "mommmmmmmmmm can i have" one more time i'll swing for him lol

I have an 8yr old daughter and she just wanted to try on the free cosmetics aaaaaallllll the time "mum cani try that? mum can i try that 1 too, mum can i have a spray of perfume"

Little monster, mind you she's been into boots twice with me this past week and i tipped her off on the skincare vouchers (showed her of mine) and sent her off on a secret mission to locate and collect as many as possible.

She's found me 2 so far so it can't be that bad (half term may last a little longer if her success rate continues)

I, too , hope to make up some prezzies with some of the items I've bought. I've found a few nice 'containers' to arrange the products in: a silver wire basket for the detox stuff and a small wooden dish for the no.7 hilighting lotion (? name), shower puff (4 for £1 at tesco) and martha hill cream (from freebies thread).

I just need some cellophane now ... anyone know where you can get some reasonably priced. I know John lewis used to do rolls of it but haven't been in to JL for a while ????

Lakeland Plastics normally do lovely cellophane bags ( for sweeties and homemade cakes) They would be ideal for gift bags with some tied ribbons - I have used them for this in the past and always well received. They may well do cellophane on a roll too. :happylove

here is a link - they only seem to have ones covered in pictures of sweeties - I have the Jewel Coloured ones at the moment and Pudsey Bear, which would be good if making raffle prizes for school fetes.

I've had a problem with the EI voucher.
I dont think it was a till problem, because the voucher never made it as far as the till :(
The same grumpy SA who had followed me around the store made sure that it was her that served me,and before I could stop her she grabbed a pen and scribbled straight through the barcode of the EI voucher, announcing "this one has to be added manually!"
Of course she only added one lot of points,& when I protested, she pointed out that as she had "watched me make 500 points on lynx click not 10 minutes ago" that I didnt really have any grounds to complain.. :(:(:(

so what to her how many points you get? whats she teh points police?! get her name and complain to teh customer services line!

Oh cool - I like doing that kind of stuff anyway and this week it's sanctioned :grinheart

There was another woman looking at the Jemma Kidd make-up in Boots alongside me and we spoke along the lines of 'it's all so nice isn't it' and I was able to tell her to pick up the magazine for another 300 points if she bought anything - she looked so pleased.

I also have a new purpose in life as checker of prices online for my aunt and her friends :grinheart

i love doing that! all january i gave ladies my vouchers when they were looking at TD or DR and now i tell them about stuff in teh AC machine- im gonna end up single-handedly bringing down boots! :grinheart
