I got the email about Boots Advantage Card earlier today too.
I was literally    about it!
Bit relieved now that I see others have been sent it :smileyheaOriginally Posted by Frogling

peanutpie05 wrote:I, too , hope to make up some prezzies with some of the items I've bought. I've found a few nice 'containers' to arrange the products in: a silver wire basket for the detox stuff and a small wooden dish for the no.7 hilighting lotion (? name), shower puff (4 for £1 at tesco) and martha hill cream (from freebies thread).
I just need some cellophane now ... anyone know where you can get some reasonably priced. I know John lewis used to do rolls of it but haven't been in to JL for a while ????
I just packed my gifts - I am going to visit my family next weekend (and there are no Boots where I go - how will I survive?????) I got cellophane from flowerist, they had few different ones to choose from and I paid 75p per meter, but if you look around, you might fnd some cheaper. Someone mentioned Hobbycraft if you have one close by. I got some nice ribbons from craft shop and my presents look fantastic. Actually, my bf went to exhibition in Italy yesterday and he was staying at his parents, so I put one present for his mum. He said she liked it!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Thanks for the tips ... like the idea of using different colour cellophane too

Hi - whatever you do dont get a second pressie box.. my 1 pressie box has now turned into 6 !! its really got to stop.
I'm sure I could wrap all my christmas presents up now and only have the kids and OH to buy for !! Perhaps I should get some reduced Boots wrapping paper now?!.. I've been toying with the idea for weeks but keep stopping myself.
Anyway... Paid a visit to Wolverhampton Mander Centre Store today...
Bought 3 TS items and 2 of those were minis @ 38p each so I don't mind too much that i only got 100 points added - Glitch fixed methinks
If anyones still getting the 200 point detox voucher there are loads of detox face masks for £1.25 (reduced) also some kind of detox body washes in a box reduced to £1.25 on shelf but I left them there (no voucher on AC for me today) there were loads of both on the back wall behind the baby section.
They have Urban Decay and Karen Millen items reduced too - near the premium counters at the front of the store. Do either of these brands work on the £5 off glitch?
Lots of little clearance sections dotted around the store. Spotted a no7 old style after sun for 74p and used a 250 points voucher.
Used my last skincare vouchers to get olay face wash and wipes - was saving them for Avene but no sign of gift bags so used them up 'cos they were burning holes in my purse.
Found lots of bodyform but they only seemed to have the pink packs with the vouchers on.
Spotted loads of Eastern bits n bobs all reduced to 75p..
If you go to the perfume counters they have some nice postcards for the new Britney Spears 'Fantasy' Fragrance and they have a peel off strip on the back, with a wipe on sample of the fragrance, picked up a couple for DD - shes always nicking my perfume and shes only 10!
Think thats about it for today, I'm trying not to go to Boots until at least the weekend - but we'll see. :grinheart0 -
New offer in ACM for 100points on new No17 self tan range. This new range also has offer of free shimmer brush worth £2.99 when you buy any other product from the range. On checking receipt later, the tills are adding 100points for the free brush also. From what I remember the cheapest product in the range is self tan wipe or tan corrector wipe at £1.99 so theoretically could get one of these plus free brush thingy and 200 points back for £1.99 spend

Just a quickie - I tried the Trevor Sorbie voucher today and it only gave me one lot of 100 points - and the voucher now says one per transaction.
I bought:- 7 old style shaving gels which scanned at only £1.00 each instead of the £3 or so for the new package stylee (they'll do for my legs - I'm not fussy!), 1 face scrub old style £1.50, 1 Lynx Click @ £2.29, so came to £10.79, reduced by £4.00, leaves £6.79 to pay. However, only gave me 200 points, 100 for the TS and 100 for the Lynx.
Also got Boots Mystique shaver and blades, £3.79 each, BOGOF, plus 100 bonus AC points.
One pack Bodyform with voucher.
Meal deal - 100 bonus AC points
Total came to £13.56 so also got £5.00 skincare voucher and 75 bonus points for total spend over £10, so total points were around 618. Not bad, but was expecting more for the TS, so queried this, and then found the "one per transaction" bit.
Very nice SA said she could refund me some if I got more vouchers, which I did - I carry AC two cards (one mine and one OH), gave me another 500 points (all on my card!), so she refunded me 5 items and put them through again as 5 separate transactions!! And I still kept the skincare voucher, £4.00 reduction for £10 of men's products and 75 points for the total spend (which I wouldn't have got if she'd done them as separate transactions in the first place!!)
Then picked up an Avene face mask reduced to £5.20 and another Bodyform with another voucher off one I'd just bought (net cost 19p)
So, upshot is, I spent £13.76 for what is probably about £45-£50 worth of stuff, and got 1128 of points back, thanks to the very nice SA! :A
You lot should understand this - my hubby was totally confused by this point....
