AVG update problem

really weird one this as you still have a load of AVG running in there

Make sure you right click the icon (Multi coloured square bottom right) and shut it down
Uninstall normally
Use the removal tool (32 bit)
Reboot



Use hijack to FIX everything with AVG in (save perhaps the toolbar which you should be able to uninstall normally?)

Install AVIRA anti virus

Reboot and do a fresh log (the VERY best of luck )

If that doesnt work, use REVO in SAFE MODE and force the damn thing off

Hi RIk,

The AVG icon has gone from my toolbar and is not present in my list of programs!

I used REVO in safe mode and AVG was not there!

Feel like I am being stalked!!!

Can you help!

reboot
Shut it down (Right click the icon)
uninstall normally then run the removal tool

Then do a fresh hijack log (Which will 'hopefully' be AVG free!)
