    I have installed AVG and installed Avira, I have updated and I am running a scan

    Do I have to manually update this programme or is it automatic?

    Sorry just had another look and I can see that it updates itself and scans every day also

    Sorry to butt in, but I have been having the same problems.

    I have tried to use the uninstall tool as suggested by aliEnRIk, but to no avail.
    AVG has still not been removed any ideas Please.

    I always suggest against scanning every day. Unless you believe you have an infection id say monthly is fine (Scan weekly using malwarebytes)

    just removed AVG and installed Avira on my other computer - the one daughter uses for myspace utube bebo and msn so far I've got 32 trojans!

    Will do other scans on both computers when this one finished

    If you could post the resultant scan with 32 trojans id be most happy as there are 'some' on here that SWEAR by AVG (Though I have no clue why)
