if you need to call Orange Tech support on 439 its 50p a minute from your Orange mobile, call 07973 100 439 at mobile rate from another network/landline
I think you're thinking about the web/email support which is 50p a minute. You can get the tech helpline (which used to be called data support) by calling 150, which is free from contract phones.0 -
Ok, got it
**61*+447973100123*20# [SEND]
20 is the max value you can have. Enter that as a phone number to call (to get the + press * twice) and that will give you the max time you can have (on Orange)..
Hi Jon,
Thankyou for the above code. Unfortunately it does not seem to work. When we spoke to orange as was suggested to us. They gave us the following code **61*07973100123*11*30 I understand that the last two numbers represent extending the seconds of the ring tone. When i send the above number nothing happens. However if i change the 11 to 20 then change * for # the message request failed appears on the phone screen. I feel we are getting closer but we must be missing a digit to make it work.
Any ideas please.
Thanks for everyone's help.

Orange have pulled alot of the GSM codes....SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Hi Emily
I'm stumped to be honest ! I tried the **61*+447973100123*20# code on my phone before I posted and it worked.
I think we have two problems here, as diamonds says above Orange have been messing with the GSM codes, which is just a bit odd as their suppoed to be universal across all networks to maintain compatibility.
I read a few other forums and it seem that the code is slightly different for different handsets ! Which again is very odd as the setting is on the network not the phone.
I'll try to get hold of someone I know in the call centre and get a straight answer on this one, but I'm not sure which shift he's on or even if he's still on that section any more !! I'll post over the weekend.
Might be an idea if you post which handset you've got just in case that's a factor. . .0 -
morning all,
are you missing out the 10 emilyt?
* * 61 * + 44 (mail box number in international format) * 10 * (5 - 30 seconds) # Send
Jon, she tells us what model it is but as you say it should not make any difference since it is a network command.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Doh !
Note to self, read the thread header first !!
It shouldn't, but I've read a Blackberry forum where the code isn't the same a the ones above ! But we all know about BB!! don't we. . .0 -

Hi to all. Emily T hubby here.
Tried the codes but unfortunatley no joy.
So decided to phone Orange.
I phoned 3 times and each time 25p was taken off my credit even though I was not put through.
All I got was an automated message saying we are busy please call back later.
Then hangs up.
BUT
When I eventually got through I was half way through the 2nd sentance when they hang up.
Thinking it might have been my phone at fault I used another spare mobile I have.
And again half way through the the second sentance they hung up again.
SO I called back again when they asked how they could help I asked if I could be put through to a Supervisor. so they hung up again.
So I phoned again and told them I was in the process of emailing watch dog.
This seemed to get their attention. So I managed to get my credit back
but they said the dept I needed to talk to was closed.
So phoned again today only to have the phone put down again on me.
SO
Thinking of emailing watch dog anyway as taking 25p off the customer when the call has not been connected seems very unjust.
So at present no further forward.
But thankyou everyone for your advice.:beer:0
