The goods arrived didn't they?
We dont know this  read the OP's post.........
Its quite comical how the advice is normally read the auction properly you agreed the postage when you purchased the item so dont complain now blahblahblah.........
But when someone doesnt get what they pay for its ok
So basically the seller is always right :rolleyes:0 -

There's no point worrying about 72p.
And lets say for example they sold 100 items pulling this trick.........
Thats £72 saved for quoting recorded delivery and not using it :rolleyes:0 -

Well I would guess two suits cost near to £6-50 to pack and post. Has the complained about shoddy packaging? No. If they haven't arrived yet then how does the OP know they weren't sent recorded? She never stated the seller emailed her back to say the goods weren't sent recorded.:pHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. What trick? We have no proof that the seller has done anything wrong  It is very feasible that this is a simple oversight, it happens to the best of us. For all we know, the seller is actually out of pocket for the postage, maybe he/she changed her mind when/if it became apparent that the postage would be more than the £6.50 the buyer paid.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

OP contacted seller for tracking number and was told they were sent normal post as it says in post 1

However, they have sent them normal first class post (when I asked for a tracking number as they haven't arrived yet,0 -
Items sent recorded won't arrive any quicker than normal 1st class.
Sending items recorded only benefits the seller (and even that's debatable).
Two suits must be close/over 2kg when packaged up, so they probably lost money anyway.
.....time to get to go an get really quite annoyed about something else.0 -
wow loads of replies...
I'm annoyed I didn't get what I felt I had paid for. However...
I've received a missed item card- so I'm happy they have arrived and I can collect them at the weekend. First class has worked out fine, so when I receive the suits and know they're fine, I will leave positive feedback with a comment about the lack of 1st class recorded.
armitageshanks- you're right there's little difference between 1st class and recorded, however with recorded I can at least trace my package and know it's worth me trekking to the post office to collect it, rather than treking there to collect junk mail or work related junk (no as much fun!).

Why would you want to track recorded mail? It would only show up once you'd recieved it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
it would show up once I'd missed it... so I know to bother with rushing to the post office- my work stuff is sent normal post and I have 3 weeks to go collect the items in.
I don't have a car and it's about 2 miles for me to cycle to collect- hence I am such a fan of recorded delivery and knowing it was missed
the cards they leave say whether it was recorded- which also helps...though I've had occasions where no card was left. also, I can check the internet tracking at work and get excited about my packages arriving. If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
Ive had the same thing happen to me today, i paid £4.50 for a item to be sent recorded but it actually cost the seller £1.25 and they sent it 2nd class Normal. I emailed the seller, and they said, whats your problem you got your item, stop complaining wierdo! how rude!!!! - She got a negative from me! But today she has fot 3 neutrals and one other neg saying the same thing!0
