I've just read the rules on your website and it's going to be even harder than I thought. It seems you aren't going to let yourself buy anything in bulk because that would take you over your £1 limit. I think you will need to revise this...
off to read your blog
Oh lordy no ! It'll be averaged on a daily basis, bulk buying is allowed
Do something amazing. GIVE BLOOD.
I went the reverse way nowadays due to depression, when I was 17 I lived on about £15 a week if not less than that(and that was living off stuff like pizzas and wagon wheels) these days I keep buying take aways due to stress/self esteem hunger and buy junk up town.
My only criticism is that if you do it you cant invest alot of extra time into doing this or its a false economy. If you spend an extra hour a day looking for deals, picking fruit, hunting out free reception food you may as well go work for an hour, even on minimum wage your hours investment will return you a fiver after tax which is alot more food than you could scavange.
I have found that the cheaper breads are usually nicer if you buy the wholegrain/wholemeal ones anyway so you might be able to get cheaper bread. Good luck hun, but please don't tell my OH about this he'll have us all on it!
I think he will probably be doing his deal hunting when he isn't able to work lol
Would really love to read it!
