    COST, WFC, BAC?

Is that Costain Group PLC, Watford Leisure PLC & Bank of America?

Think the EPIC must be the same as some UK shares lol.

Think I'm going for real punt on Lloyds once they hit rock bottom, can't see them climbing anytime soon until the speculation dies down or they are nationalised!!!

Bank of America, Costco, Wells Fargo. I now have substantial amounts invested in these 3.
  • I shorted bac at $22, then cancelled it as they rose briefly. opps

Just for anyone gambling on these, that naked trader guy bought 10k rbs but had his bet target at 25p

Not sure I'd be betting £10k on any banking shares at the mo. Must be loose change to some lol

Don't forget all the people who are averaging down.

Seemed like a good idea at the time, but it must be very stressful now.

They're in a very different situation to those of us who are just having a punt.
  • 10k shares at 10p is 'only' 1000 pounds Plus that guy is betting with money from previous sucesses, if you can achieve some level of confidence in your own judgement then its reasonable to keep rolling the bets over

A bit like a guy who keeps doubling his bets up on the roulette wheel its risky but if you can manage the risk with a sensible head so you dont bet it all or lose it all, its incredibly profitable.
I think he has made several hundred thousand from doing that, Ive not read his book buts its impressive'

Anyway I only mentioned it as a heads up. Trying to judge an absolute bottom to the price (in a bear market especially) is like betting on red the whole evening at a casino and his strategy is different

ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND boss Stephen Hester is to unveil a brutal cost-cutting exercise, alongside record losses of close to £30 billion, that are expected to lead to a further 10,000 to 20,000 job cuts.
Hester has told his most senior lieutenants to draw up a new business plan, measured against five key financial metrics.
The move will lead to hundreds of millions being stripped from the bank’s global cost base over the next three to five years.
The project is also expected to see the bank exit a number of countries in emerging markets, and sell off dozens of businesses now deemed to be non-core.

Looks like RBS is on a slow slide at present. Wonder how long it'll continue?

Seems fairly slow day on the exchange! Wonder when some big news will hit

Did you buy into Lloyds this morning by any chance? Could've been a nice little earner.

Yeah I reckon the markets are just holding fire until something happens, the American Exchanges being closed possibly is involved too.

No I set up an automatic buy in at 50p but bottled it yesterday and cancelled it  , was going to get 1000 shares. Nevermind, just watching at the moment to see what happens tempted to buy a few more RBS shares if price continues to go down. Shame I was at work this morning as my ark theraputical shares shot up briefly over 10% in value, but died back down to around 4% currently.
