I would freeze it then use it in another or with another dish but not refreeze it again, hope that makes sense?

Add some passatta, mix with about 4 beaten eggs (depending on how much pasta you have) season and bake in a flan dish - bit like a quiche and delicious cold
    I haven't got one!

    Hi
Thanks for suggestions so far - if I cook with cheese etc, can I cool and freeze it? Not sure we can face pasta again tonight!
    Mup.

I would think so. Its the same as freezing a home made lasagne.

If you do freeze it as it is, remove when required and allow to defrost. When you are ready for it place it in a colander and pour over boiling water, its easier to heat up this way.

Mix it with some cooked broccoli florets, lightly fried chopped onion, and a few mushrooms, stir in cheese sauce to coat all the mixture and top with grated cheese.

Makes a quick meal with crusty bread, and you don't even need to do separate veg.

    my favourite way is

put it back in the pot (no water)

add in some butter then toss in a bit of salt, some garlic granules (lidl) or garlic powder, and sprinkle to taste with the powdered parmesan (from the canisters, fresh doesn't taste strong enough)

this is gorgeous and very moreish :p

  • Mine's a bit like cheekymole's idea - fry some onions, mushrooms, peppers etc add the pasta and top with beaten egg to make a sort of Spanish omelette, Finish under the grill to brown - cheese is nice melted on the top as well
