I don't know whether or not you should report her but it sounds like the family (or at least her OH parents) are in the know. I would be concerned about any trouble it could cause for you. Maybe wait until you have that deposit you have been saving for and then move.
I know some on here won't agree but I knew someone similar to your neighbour and decided not to report as I knew the only people that would loose out would be the children - they certainly wouldn't have given up their fags, cars or lifestyle choices. I felt at the time that they were selfish enough not to put there children's needs first and couldn't be the one to put the children in the position, whilst I know it is there parents choices - the children don't ask to be born to them.
Maybe some of you will think me wrong but I feel the benefit system enables people to be this way and the big picture is about benefit sytem reform. I am a single mother and could walk out of work tomorrow in order to claim benefits and spend more time with my daughter. Although I believe we have a right to be at home with our children (singleparenthood is rarely a choice whatever the media likes to say) I also think once they are a certain age that it is our obligation to provide and show good role models to our children. Obviously those who need benefits in order to provide (like when my partner and I first split up) I think they should be able to claim but I think we have become a nation of dependancy and this runs a real risk of us becoming a nation of laziness. (Although we couldn't all do it or there would be no money to claim!)

Nope, i didnt offer to help, just like i didnt help when she was jumping on the trampoline she got her kids 2 weeks ago, or when she is sat outside on the wall drinking or smoking. I didnt even help her climb over my 6 foot garden gate last year when the ball went into my garden again, i just came home to find her in the garden.
I wont feel too guilty for her struggle though, she didnt help me when i was 9 months pregnant and she saw me fall outside our drive.
I save my offers of help for my disabled patients, last year i used 15 of my days off work in total to take patients out, or get in their food shopping ready for their discharge, or even clean the house up so its fit to go back to. Sholud i bore you with the extra hours unpaid ive logged up at the hospital in the last 8 years?
Suddenly after that dig i want to look up that website for reporting her for fraud.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Hi,
"I wont feel too guilty for her struggle though, she didnt help me when i was 9 months pregnant and she saw me fall outside our drive" - i cant believe she didnt help - that is shocking.....
reading your posts i would want to report your neighbour too but i agree with with the other posts - i would wait a while as you live next to her - if she did find out it was you - could make things difficult - give it a couple of months then do it.

Maybe she was too ill with her disability to come out to help, no wonder she feels so fed up with your attitude. God forbid she managed to do a couple of things with her kids, they should miss out on everything altogether.
Its spiteful people that make our lives harder because funnily enough they never seem to notice the 364 days of hell but they sure notice the short infrequent times DH manages to spend a little time with the kids.
Maybe you should pop over to the disability board to see how badly people are treated by others who just assume nothing is wrong.Barclaycard 3800

It depends on wether you like her as a person or not. I could report a few people, but as already mentioned it is often the kids who suffer. Ive seen people like this for years, they seem to have everything, what you dont know is she probably owes the provvy a wad of cash, mebbe bumped the catalouge a few times, gets loans from those purple loan/high interest places, lcd tv from brighthouse. And when you go inside their houses they havent got the things working people can get (even with debt) and a lot of them live by their wits day in day out, not knowing when the next (takeaway) meal is coming from or the gas card running out.
If you are going to report her, wait a few month, she can only blame herself for being a mouthpiece and blabbing to people anyway.Total Debt -was £14,700 aprox NOW £13,835
Paying each month-800-850 (hopefully)
Hope to be debt free about aug 20100 -
