re the gas, I have a friend who swears that the 'gas is low' on Christmas day cos everyone is cooking at once, he even does the dinner in the evening partly for that weekend. greenbee may be able to elaborate!
I have done nothing tonight, feels a bit decadent! Do need to make some lunch for tomorrow soon and as I've points left I may make myself a bowl of fruit and yoghurtMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Just popping in to say evening to you all. I have had a no fly and a no fred day to (again) have just had a quick glance at the last pages or so.
Seems like a few probs with cars and stuff (hope all peeps are ok) and mine luckily has been repaired today - krank shaft sensorand new brake pads on the rear - £214  but that is a lot less than using the main dealer where they charge £120 per hour. Our little specialist only charged £60 labour for all day and he collects and returns the car and OH pays :rotfl: bless him :A .
Flying - well both living rooms are actually not too bad as anything left out I have nagged them during the week to put it away which they have. All it really needs is a quick hoover and dust although the hall really does need a mop but might wait until its a bit drier as OH puts his bicycle in there and it gets wet and dirty.
Back in a mo
Right I think an early night is in order unless i take a quick peek on facebook - still dont know who you all are!
See you all tomorrow when I might do some flyingMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

I tried to post on this thread in the early hours of this morning but having spent ages typing it out it disappeared into the ether. I don't know what went wrong but I was too tired to try again. Better luck I hope this time.
Well I had a very good day yesterday - I completed the list with the exception of the fridge which I did this morning and the windows which I can't reach; so DH is going to do them.
Today is another story - I achieved very little of the list but I wasn't entirely idle. I did the normal things i.e. WM; DW; Made bed; TD and then spent all afternoon at the dentist and this evening at Slimming World. I am now shattered. Tomorrow is another day as they say.

The Living Room is not too bad so I concentrated on the hall stairs and landings because some hot spots were developing there as most of the family were on assorted weekends away / sleepovers last week and of course lots of stuff got dumped Sunday afternoon and evening when we all got back:D

living Room is nice and tidy BUT there are still too many toys in there, what with Christmas then 3 birthdays in 2 days at the end of January we are swamped. I'm going to need to spend a couple of hours decluttering the toys upstairs so that I can move some of the stuff from the living room. It's not bothering me too much at the moment but it could be a Friday (my day off) task in the next couple of weeks.
I'm also going to add a MACAW ..... To have my shower before I come downstairs in the morning. I always have a coffee and a ciggie (or 3!) before going back up for my shower and I think if I did it the other way it would not take as long because once I have got comfy in the kitchen avec coffee and fags it takes me ages to get going again:D0 -

All catched up!! I so need it to be half term - I'm shattered and there's still 3 more days! And we're out on a trip Thurs morn!
Penny - I'd suggest 'In the Hall of the Mountain King' from Grieg's Peer Gynt
funfairprincess and growingafamily - welcome (to the madhouse!!)
carlsberggal - hugs. Sounds painful. It's something I'm more likely to end up with too now
pigpen - when I was discharged after the op to put plates in my arm, I had a letter to take to my local hospital (I was ambulanced to the one nearest work, but follow-up was done down here!). Letter stated they had clipped one of the cuts but left the other as it was too tight too clip. The nurse and I were therefore rather surprised to find 26 clips that needed removing! There were also a lot of spelling mistakes. I'll have to dig it out and re-read it!
toots - how lovelyyou deserved the flowers :A
serena - hugs for you and the children, hope you are recovering
soappie - funding vibes for you and hugs too. Hope you begin to get things sorted. Oh, and I'm a young(er) brunette but I don't understand physics either (or much science, come to think of it)
I am now going to find my list ready for tomorrow and then head to bed - I need sleep!!!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
