Mudbath probably www.caravantalk.org.uk ? I also like www.ukcampsite.co.uk ideal for finding places and there is a forum too, they are wanting to send an assessor out from Swift so waiting to hear back as to when/where.
Triker well done to you and your OH on that mammoth sort out

Well I've done pretty much fluff all since my last HHC so guessing I need the motivation of them to do anything today. So at 5.30-6pm I will

[STRIKE]Make boys dinner - start it at the beginning
Empty WM again - which finished ages ago
    Put lunch dishes/plates in DW
Sort the rubbish gathered into correct recycle bin
    Finish clearing kitchen benches
Sort garage fridge and utility fridge
Move some stuff from packed utility fridge into garage fridge[/STRIKE]
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

  • SGT I know just how you feel - it is so easy to sit at the pc or tv and the time just disappears but you are doing well in disciplining yourself - when do you hope to move?
you have a big job ahead with moving so you need to get to grips with it - you have made a good start by going through your clothes so get rid of the bags to the charity shop asap - it will be gone from under your feet

sort out the ebay stuff and start trying to list some of them -it will be more gone and the money takes up less room!!!!

I am a great one for lists as they will all tell you here! I would make a list of absolutely everything you can think of that needs to be done before you go - and not too vague be as precise as you can - break things down into small jobs and then start tackling them.

Housework is not such a huge priority for you just now as decluttering so try to keep up with basic flying and concentrate on the rest.

Would it help if you came on here in the evening and had to tell us of say 5 jobs you had done that day or just reported all the things you had done???? we would be pleased to help encourage you if we could.

Make some sort of timetable for yourself - e.g. have to sort all clothes this week/ sort through papeerwork before 28th - that sort of thing? Its far better to have a deadline to work to.

hope some of that helps and I havent offended you by putting my tuppence worth in!!!

Toots - you still knitting? - I am up for some HHKs as I am knitting for Jacob (back half done already:D) I love knitting baby clothes. I can get them finished in reasonable time ... though I NEVER finished the jumper I was knitting for DS before DD was born (an Aran pattern - it was hard).
Haven't knitted for 4 years or so so have decluttered knitting bag! :D
yes that a good idea Valli and i could finish the wee jumper I have on the pins although it is probably too big at present - it will mean that I am breaking my own rules about finishing a job but seen as I cant find my pattern I may as well use the time to knit for Jacob. will go and organise something to eat and check back later with you. 30 mins is long enough for neck at one sitting!!!

    Hi Toots,
No offence taken, all suggestions & motivation greatly received.
I'm a great one for list's anyway, it's just the lists at the moment are a bit daunting but at least they focus me on the tasks to be completed.
I have been using the daily challenges to focus on a specific room, so each day I have de-cluttered some items, packed a 'few' & cleaned a little, it's just that nothing is completed. Hey ho tomorrow is another day...
Forgot to tell you once I have my place sorted I have to sort my mum's place, she died last year & her place is up for sale but we have everything to get rid of from there.
Luckily I haven't committed myself to a date for when I move to Spain. My OH is already in Spain so I don't have him under my feet putting the pressure on to get things sorted. (What the eye doesn't see the heart doesn't grieve).
Thanks again for the advice, I think I will do as you suggest, each night I will come on here & post what I have done & look at the positive's not the negatives.

  • Hello all, wow i am a domestic goddess!! well not quite but thanks to the list my kitchen looks great - the room i chose to catch up on. I also cleaned a manky cupboard, the girls painted and i have even cleared that away.
forgot how great this thread is.

I am interested in the organised home 'inventory' for kitchen but can't find it - can anyone point me in the direction - site has loads on and have trawled but no luck.

looking forward to my monday challenges!
