I was thinking how quiet everyone was. They can be much worse than this!
Well I have FINALLY taken up the trousers that have been hanging about for (well let's just say far too long) :T:T and of course it didn't take that long once I started.0 -
In my HHC I managed to declutter and vac LR floor. Answered the phone x2 and try to settle DD who woke up from her nap. Not as productive as I would have liked but so goes it sometimes. The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.0

froddington - I wish mine were only 10 yrs it's nearer 40!! but heyho it WILL get done eventually.
greenbee - I am afraid I am a technophobe I don't know how to copy. I will have to get DH to show me but at the moment I don't want to disturb him. I am firmly of the opinion that you should never disturb a working man otherwise the job doesn't get done. Better ask later lolJoined Slimming World originally in December 05 at 17st 9lb and then followed a very hilly route. I now weigh 11st 12 lbs. Whoops, I'll now have to confess to being 12st 12lbs.:o0 -
pigpen I can help with some stuff as I still have blue from DS. DD is wearing his 3-6m at the moment although she is 7.5m. I still have 0-3 white, blue and pink. I swapped some with my friend, who had a boy 4 weeks after DD but is 2 sizes bigger, for her DD pink things so I will have to see what’s still there. Some are a little worn, as I bought most of it at car boots and my children are slow growers, but they still have life in them. The season may be a bit off as my LOs were both 0-3 in the summer but with a coat over they should still work.
Will she use pacifiers? I have some that are new but out of the package as my children refused them. I also have a spare Avent breast pump that I got at the car boot for about £10 (the one I had from DS, also from car boot, was lost in the clutter at the time). She is welcome to it if she is not funny about reusing that sort of stuff and it can give her a little freedom without costing loads on formula. Let me know what she needs and I can have a look.
I will look later when LOs are in bed and let you know. The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.0 -
Decided next week I MUST TRY HARDER. I am meant to be sorting out my place to rent it out & move to Spain.
It's a tad overwhelming, what do I take, what do I leave, how do I get rid of stuff that is to good too throw, I must get organised & put it on ebay or sell it somewhere, I cannot afford to throw. I have filled several bags with clothes for charity but really need to get sorted.
I finished work at Christmas after 33 years & was determined that I would treat each day as a work day, unfortunately I got into the habit of switching the television & computer on when I got up & then the next thing I knew it was teatime, so I have basically wasted a month!! I have weaned myself of the television, it DOES NOT get switched on until lunch time for Loose Women & then gets switched off until the evening. I have decided that as from Monday the computer does not get switched on until 1800, hopefully this will enable me to get flying & pack more things, here's hoping.
Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest & in writing so that I cannot go back on my word.'Money and good health is coming easily to Flypeople'0 -

But that's my point - it took nearly 40 years to get like that so it won't get sorted overnight! (Although, it shouldn't take another 40 years to clear it!!) I add one or two specific jobs from the spare room to my list each week so I know a little is getting done!

Triker fantastic decluttering and lots of work done there - well done to you and your OH - bet you are pleased with getting rid of all that stuff. I used to love going to the dump with a car load!
spirit - you have done well so dont be hard on yourself - just doing the decluttering is a job and a hlaf at times - and you have managed to get some of the house under control so thats excellent. Now be brave - open the door to the sapre bedroom and go and deal with 5 things at a time - then shut the door again - it could be 5 things to fling or put away somewhere else but just do 5 and dont move them to another room -deal with them - if you keep taking the babysteps they will soon become easy to cope with!
well done aunty crafty I do love your owl!
In my HHC
I hoovered where the Chest of drawers was going and where it had been
moved the chest of drawers -oooooooooh
emptied the junk out of the top drawer and reloctaed my underwear into it
sorted out another drawer
put all the junk into separate little storage hat boxes (will still have to sort them later but didnt want to get too sidetracked)
toots xxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Toots - you still knitting? - I am up for some HHKs as I am knitting for Jacob (back half done already:D) I love knitting baby clothes. I can get them finished in reasonable time ... though I NEVER finished the jumper I was knitting for DS before DD was born (an Aran pattern - it was hard).
Haven't knitted for 4 years or so so have decluttered knitting bag!
Plan is to get it finished by Wednesday and in the post, with muslins, so it'll arrive by weekend...ho hum...
Pigpen there will be no postage - passing it forward - well back really - trousers!:rotfl:so don't ask...
Triker:T:T:T:T:T:T WTG on the decluttering
