Having debated the merits and cost etc we finally thought fuggit and got one. Was very MSE about it and read reviews etc but got a compact ickle dryer from Curry's. I was faced with (yet again) another couple of loads of washing that had been left in the washer and basket which I've now had to rewash because it stank because it never got hung out on the radiators. TBH I was going to do my usual troop to the wash-house but its freezing. Anyway, I'm a happy bunny, this will make my life soooo much easier.
The eldest awoke at 3pm this afternoon when I very loudly asked her if she was going to get up AT ALL today!! Anyway she is now doing her room.
Other jobs I've done today are swept and washed outside path.
Swept up soggy leaves from outside garage.
OH cut down some old shelves for me and we sorrted out the shed.
Put chest of drawers from garage into shed and put all my excess shower gels and bubble baths (tesco's and now boots hauls) in there.
Binned old charcoal that had burst all over the floor.
Had a look and realised that we really don't need an industrial strimmer or lawn mower (no lawn, now raised beds). So we'll get rid asap.
Changed bag on hoover.

Well I snoozed for 3 hrs  and feel a lot better. Hope I can get a good night tonight. Miss A was doing her hama beads while I was in bed, she even ironed them (did say she could do that) but did that bit a bit too well, she ruined her large square board! House is still intact and the only damage was the board. She has done hama pics of all 4 of us and is trying to do our name's as well. They look very good.
They are just having beans and sausage for dinner, I have no idea what to have (if anything at all) cereal could be ok.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
AnW'sMum - big hugs love. You need to eat SOMETHING otherwise you'll fade away even more. Do you have any bananas in? I always reckon they're happy fruit - they lift your mood. Are you down just because it's valentine's or are you coming up to an anniversary of something?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

rosepink well done getting Oh a bit more organised - if you really want to be more tidy then work on your own area first - only a suggestion remember but what if you restrict your 'messy' space to just the sofa or just beside the bed and work at keeping the rest tidy until it becomes a habit - it takes 21 days continuously for something to become a habit so give yourself a star in your diary - if you miss a day you will have to start over again- once you achieve that bit then cut down your area again until you feel in control then you could try to help OH do the same or maybe he might want to join you in the challenge and only mess up one chair and not 2??? as I say only a suggestion! you will find something that works - when you live in a bedsit you havent got a lot of space and you really need to be very disciplined.
Sexy, thanks so much for sending a card to LL from all of us. That's really sweet and I'm sure she will appreciate it
Mudders, thanks for letting us know that LL is ok.
Soappie, hope you get things sorted re DIL and heating/TD. Definately think that putting the webcam up on the TD is a good plan, or how about on the heating controls? She does seem underhanded, doesn't she realise that you will notice that she's not doing as you asked?
Triker, hope things calm down at your place, sounds stressful. It's so annoying when people don't do what they say (re fridge). Can't advise over kids but they do grow out of it and become nice people eventually (I did!)
Lil-me, am thinking of you, sounds like your family is going through a rough time. Hugs
Hugs to you too Diva
Crafty, thanks so much for the funny! It made me laugh! OH did such a funny thing today. He went to cook our steak and chips for lunch and he couldn't get the cooker to work. He said he had problems at breakfast time. I went to investigate and he showed me that when you push the button to turn it on a key symbol lights up (M and D have a new fangled posh cooker). I phoned Mum and she told me where the instruction book is and I told DH who looked in it, and said "it doesn't mention the key symbol" and came into the LR and sat down. I was starving so after a tactful interval I went to the kitchen and looked at the page of contents of the instruction book. One of the headings IN BOLD TYPE was "main switch and childproof lock" so I looked up the page...you can guess the rest. Why do men NEVER read instruction books? Do they get some kind of blindness? Ah well...that's why your funny post made me laugh so much cos it's all so true! He is lovely, and he cooks so I guess I shouldn't moan too much!
I feel even more ill today than I have done all week. I wish it was bedtime. I've done some knitting today but that's about it. I'm still really worn out, and now have a sore throat and the sniffles, and my blocked ear from last week is now a crackly ear. Wierd. Have noticed quite a few people on here mentioning ear ache and a sore throat so maybe it's the same thing, just a bit milder for me. Love and hugs to you all, get plenty of rest, drink lots of water and eat whatever you fancy (toast for me methinks! I'm starving again.:rotfl: )

Afternoon everyone, been busy here today in the garden. Now have to wait on more wood to be delievered for the chicken coop.
BO has been put outside again but he just bark's (a stranger comes up and nothing but you put him out and he barks  ), hoping to get him outside again full time as he's recovered well and his hairs all grown back plus i need him used to sleeping outside before the baby comes.
Plan tonight was to take wee ones to youth club but to be honest i'm too tired, problem is we haven't been since the christmas party and everyone keeps asking when we're coming back or if someone has said something to upset us. I just don't have the energy tonight.
OK my post has turned into a moan. Sorry everyone.
LL hope your well.
Dusty Happy Birthday.
