catholic wedding advice please

Hi - at the risk of reiterating what other people have said, I'm getting married in a catholic church and if it wasn't a church in my parish (or the bride's parish) I would have to pay £250 and if you don't regularly contribute to the church you are supposed to pay money to the church that you want to get married in.
Just something else to bear in mind!
I think all churches ask for a donation??? Correct me if I am wrong but my sister got married in a Catholic Church in the next town and that was all they asked for. I think even if you get married in your own church then you are asked to make a donation (unless the church states a fee for holding the wedding there).
