So sorry about your mother - my mum is great but MIL is another matter - loved LO when first born ( came over 2-3 times a week ) now its 2-3 times a year !!

Really hurts the OH as she disappeared out of his life for a good 15 years when he was a kid - tried to include her in our lives as a grandma or nana as she likes to be called but doesnt seem interested - what can you do ? - I couldnt care less about the woman to be honest but make an effort for the OH- but when she comes she tries to discipline my LO - even my dog !!
Grates on my nerves - bl**dy woman

    Emotional Speech warning!

Today I have been inspired to get off my butt, get some fresh air and get my garden up-together by someone who said they were feeling down, Chris, you lifted me, now lift yourself xx

And then... I've been moved to tears by PMS for making me realise how lucky I am to have such a strong supportive relationship with my parents, again, I have so much respect for you for being such a lovely Mum yourself xx

What is it about this place that brings a little bit of everything together in one place? is it that we are all dreamers? hoping for that one (or maybe a few more than one lol) chance at something we can only dream of?

We all feel a little scalded by recent events, a little less trusting and perhaps even a little less caring, but lets not lose it altogether, I bloody love it here xxxxxxxxxx
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

  • My MIL is amazing, she is part of what made me realise my Mum is never going to change so I should give up hoping she would & concentrate on being the best Mum I can to my girls.
My Mum lives in the next town (or near enough) to us but can't be bothered to see the kids, only calls when she wants something, seriously I could go on forever but that would only bring me down & I ain't being brought down to her EVER again.
She is my Mum by name only, any 'Mum' who can walk out on her kids when the eldest (Me) was SIX days away from being 3 & the youngest (my bro) was 18 MONTHS old then didn't turn up again until her eldest's 12th birthday, tried stealing her granddaughter from the hospital when she was a few hours old (my eldest DD) & was one of the causes (IMO) for her Grandson's death then as far as I am concerned she is never going to be my 'Mum' :(
