DMT tool 8.07 works on the 834GT, but you don't have to run it...though seeing how the connection changes over the day can be interesting and diagnostic. It also allows (as does the custom firmware) for the adjusting of the snr....leading to the possibility of 'tweaking' and gaining a higher sync..at the possible/probable cost of stability, though I'n not gonna recommend that you try, or attempt any kind of support via a forum

^ that's what I was trying to remember...I used to run the lite version with my netgear (after DMT tool)

Use the Be Router whilst you set up teh connection and get all the details and prove your connection is working. Then switch to your own router if you prefer. At least if you have any issues you can switch back to the BeBox knowing it is also configured in future.

It's no great effort, I'm the same as Database, BEBox back in it's box and using a 2wire 2700

Cheers, well i went and downloaded the DMT TOOL im now getting DOWN 6140 ATTEN 38.0, SNRM 2.0 , TX POWER ! 20.1 WHATEVER THAT IS! also there are 3 tabs adslv1 adsl2 adsl2+ i am using adsl2 which one is right ? i am able to get adsl2+ cos im going with BE but which one at the moment im with sky on the mid pkge. THANKS.

with the greatest will in the world, as you are moving to Be in a few days, the amount of effort you'll waste getting an extra 100kb from Sky isn't going to be worth it. When you switch to teh LLU Be equipment then try and establish the best setup, anything you do now may be affected by the switch at the exchange anyway.

Yeah your right i shall stop now, its just since i improved my speed with removing wires from master socket, im sort of addicted to speed:D , seriously though i do find it interesting but confusing at the same time and thanks for your help.:beer:
