Hi
I looked at taking out a finanical plan with dfh as the guy seemed very helpful & more or less promised me the world, he said that he would contact creditors before I paid him, but none of my creditiors ever heard from him & I decided not to go throuhg with the plan so ignored his calls & then recieved letters saying that as I did not pay the initial start fee they were unable to continue with my plan, that was a month ago, this morning the standing order of £105 the monthly amount that was agreed over a month ago was taken from my bank, despite the fact I am not with them & he wrote to me & said we no longer had a plan!
any ideas what I can do & how I will get my money back0 -
Hi all
I contacted DFH last week they promised me they could rid me of my £ 30000 debt in 15 years at a cost of £ 207 per month. ( they take about £37 per month out of that) . The set up cost was £70 and they wanted the total £277 by the end of this month. Luckily i stumbled across this site and contacted the NATIONAL DEBT LINE and cancelled my debit card before they could take my money.
Twenty mins ago my mobile rang the young lady said they could not collect payment , to this i said i had changed my mind and needed time to think about what i was getting into and wanted to go no further with the application . I made up a story about my father helping me out because buy this time she had lost the plot :rotfl:( change in the tone of her voice ) she then went on to say she would contact all my creditors and let them know what i was thinking of doing.
DONT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY THEY SOUNDED SO NICE AND PROMISED ME THE EARTH. LIKE THEY SAY IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS

Oh my god! I have just taken the time to read this forum and wish I had done it a long time ago. I have been with DFH for 3 months and they have only just given me information about what they have set up with my debtors! I have received default notices but have forward copies to DFH to show them what has happened whilst they took their time sorting out my debts.
I agree with everyone else..they sound so nice on the fine trying to be helpful and putting your mind at rest. I wasn't too happy about paying a monthly charge but was desperate to sort out my debt problems. I should have gone back to Payplan who I went with a few years ago or to the other free debt companies out there.
I have now resigned myself to stick with DFH for a while but, as I am STILL, receiving phone calls from one of the companies I have debts with, I may decide to leave DFH for good.
Thank you ev1 for your advice.. I remember next time to look here first before doing anything financial.:mad:0 -
|Please do not stick with DFH. Get out now. The companies can now start legal action against you and go for CCJS etc.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Hi everyone
Im new to this site... but after reading some posts I feel like im not the only one with problems..... I have been with DFH Financial Solutions for 5 months now. I was unsure at first but I had problems with another debt management company and a friend recommended them so I thought why not. Its just a relief not to worry about creditors.... but I just feel as if my total debt which is now £12,000 is just not decreasing. I just hope it all goes away..but im sure one day I will be debt free and can start planning to buy a new house.. and I would love a holiday as I havn't been on one for ages.
Anyway, DFH Financial Solutions have been O.k to deal with. When I need to contact them, they are always there to help resolve any problem I have which is a good thing!

Im sure that DFH Financial Solutions is also a wonderful company to work for.0 -
Hey - I am trying to take legal action against DFH. It would really help me if other people were prepared to write statements on their experience. If you are interested, especially if you have not yet had money back please let me know.0

i am in the same boat, i have the application form on my desk at work as i was about to send it off tomorrow to DFH. The one thing they did say is that they have a good relationship with HSBC, where i have an overdraft, Loan AND CREDIT CARD, plus they warned me that i may receive letters for the first month but he told me to give them the guys name and his number and to tell them that a Debt Management Scheme was to be put in place, and warned me that my credit score will decline in this time, but will increase within 3 months. Will free services such as National Debtline be able to get my debts down to as low a payment as DFH offered even they i have to pay around £37 a month fee directly to them? he seemed quite honest about everything (as honest as you could be!!) so I am in two minds whether to go ahead with DFH just so i can get everything sorted as i dont really want to start again....
First Post by the way, im a newbie!!!0 -
I am also sitting here with application forms for DFH and after reading these posts I am a little concerned..
I think maybe the company has changed .
I was asked to get a new bank account as one of my loans are with The bank I bank with and was informed that this being the case they would still take the monthly payment out of my account even though this loan would also be part of the Consolidation Plan.
Has anyone any advise on the matter.
It all seems very fair with DFH and they say I can clear all debts in 7 years where as it would take me a lifetime if I carried on the way I am.0 -
I contacted this company because i had a ridiculous credit card with Barclaycard with stupid interest charges...i.e i was paying £300/month and only £50 coming off the balance I hit some financial difficulties so tried these people. They said that they could get my interest frozen and the debt would be cleared in 3 years paying £250/month. They also claimed that my credit score would not be affected. Anyway, they took a first payment of £320 from my bank (£70 admin costs). Then they called me up saying that they will now be contacting my creditors and that within about 3 months everything will be sorted and i will start and receive a payment, but to ignore all the calls and letters in-between. I asked what was happening with the money i had just paid and the subsequent £250 direct debit i had just set up..they said that this was needed to set up and work on my account...so in total i would have paid them about £1000 before anything was finalised...what a scam. I cancelled the policy immediately, but will i get any of the £320 back...will i heck as like. On top of all this, i contacted barclaycard myself and agreed a payment plan for 6 months of £100/month till i got back on my feet. Took me 6 mins in total. DONT BE A FOOL LIKE ME unless you have some serious debt.:Anthony0
