I mean, if you order a voucher and don't get it, by all means send us an email and we should either refund your PiggyPoints or send you a new one. But what if you don't get that one either? Do we keep on resending?
It's difficult to say. I'd like to be able to say that you should give people the benefit of the doubt indefinitely but that's not really possible
I would imagine that after the first time someone didn't receive a voucher it would be worth sending all further vouchers by recorded delivery to that particular person. Assuming you have to absorb the cost of the vouchers that go missing then you can send 15 vouchers to people (at 66p each for recorded delivery) out of the cost of losing one further £10 voucher.0 -
Remember, that missing post isn't really lost. By having proof of postage receipts the cost can be reclaimed from the royal mail up to a value of £30 for 1st and 2nd class post. So the problem is just the cost of the postage, and the uncertainty of the mail.
Personally I suspect that if things continue to get lost your only option would be to say sorry that you can't get the vouchers to them and do a paypal payment for the cash value of the vouchers.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

We're sending all orders of £40 or more as registered post, but it's not really cost effective for us to do this for a £5 or £10 voucher.
Any ideas?

If the person doesn't recieve voucher, send it recorded delivery or 'Signed for' next time and if that doesn't help, ask for an alternative address (i.e. work).
And I ordered £40 in vouchers week or more ago and they were posted simple first class and not registererd!!!!!
And also - i.e. I ordered 4 times £10 Boots vouchers and I paid 1150 points for each of them. If I ordered them all separately, they would have been posted separately and would have costed you more, but now they were posted all together, so I suppose they could have been posted at least 'Sign for' for the same cost as adding 4 first class deliveries.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

This has been touched on before (and yes I am "ignoring" all other posts for the moment), but need your feedback on this please.
We're sending out a lot of vouchers and some of these are going missing. All I'll say is from the time they leave this office to the time they are supposed to get to the orderer, somewhere they don't seem to be getting there, for some people.
So what do we do?

Sorry no ideas ...surely not that many can go missing...some people are perhaps trying it on.......BTW thank you VERY much for the £10 Boots voucher received today in the post...it was a pleasant surprise...I had forgotten about it.

Perhaps you could make a note of which area the vouchers are going missing from ...perhaps there is a central location ie. a particular City sorting office? and if that is the case then take the matter up with the PO. I wouldn't think that too many would go a miss..perhaps some people are at the ham (excuse the pun) if they think that they will be credited the piggypoints!!
BTW thank you very much for the £10 Boots voucher that came through the door today..I had forgotten all about it!:j0 -
I haven't really been following this whole saga so perhaps this is irrelevant but postal workers are on strike in Belfast at the moment and there's a serious backlog.
I don't know whether it just affects areas of Belfast but perhaps there has been a knock-on effect with regard to mail passing through Northern Ireland at any stage of its journey.
I know Pigsback has some of its work based in Northern Ireland but not how much or where things are sent from.0 -

What about giving people a choice of Boots vouchers, ones that you post out, or like CD-WOW, electronic vouchers that can be used on the boots website.
A lot of people are happy shopping on-line and don't need the paper verion of the voucher, this will save on postage and potential loss.Mac0 -

how about giving people the option to have it sent recorded delivery for a few extra piggypoints and if they dont opt for that option you can say if it gets lost then its not your problem and its sent first class at your own risk but make sure you get proof of posting so you can say that you definately sent itThanks to all who post0 -

As long as the extra is reasonable - I already had to pay 600 extra points for my BOOTs vouchers!!!! For first class deliverySpring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

its only something like 66p extra to send something signed for, so surely you could send vouchers 2nd class and signed for? maybe increase piggypoints needed to cover this cost:rolleyes: Democracy is a process by which the people are free to choose the man who will get the blame.:j0 -
The only way I could think off is that PB give the member a special url number link with the voucher so they can print them off. Their also a special code on the voucher so they can only use this voucher once.0
